Love these bulbs!
These little lights are perfect for applications where you just want a soft warm white light. They only use 3 watts of power, so can be left on all night for less than a penny's worth of electricity. And they put out a surprising amount of light. Here are some of my uses: 1) A TV lamp to put out a little backlight near my TV - I have the bulb in a little table-lamp that shines upward, gently lighting up the wall and ceiling behind my bigscreen TV. 2) I have a couple of these bulbs in an outside fixture under the cover of my deck, and they provide a nice gentle wall-wash light (provides plenty to see my deck steps, and also provides a bit of security). 3) I have several of these bulbs in antique bridge lamps (a type of floor lamp) - provides great mood lighting. 4) I have one in an indoor motion sensor lamp that comes on when I enter the room - provides enough light to find the poorly placed room light switches.I just ordered another 8 of these bulbs, which I am going to give to aging family members to use for night lights -- these provide much more light than a typical night light, so will be safer when they need to walk around the house at night.Power use calculation: These bulbs use 3 watts. Power at my place costs around 12 cents per kilowatt hour (a kilowatt hour is 1000 watts used for one hour). So one of these bulbs will run 1000 watt hours/3 watts = 333 hours for 12 cents, or nearly 30 hours for a penny. Pretty cheap to operate!

50 Days To Ship From Singapore To California! Bulbs are bright, although heat sinks are HOT!
Ordered two units on Oct. 18, 2013 and given shipping window of Nov. 14th - Dec. 3rd. Items received Dec. 7th, 50 days after ordering! Seller is: Coco Fed Inc.Bulbs are very bright, much brighter than another type of LED bulb I've ordered recently, which claims 7 watts, 600 lumens, and 40 watt incandescent equivalent. These bulbs are rated at 3 watts. My guestimate is that they are brighter than 40-watt incandescent. But perhaps that's partially because of their reflector style versus incandescent roundish style bulbs. The only downside I've notice thus far, is that their heat sinks are very hot. So hot that you cannot touch them for more than 1 second without burning your fingertips (I'm not exaggerating). So given the apparent brightness and the wasted energy due to heat, I'm skeptical that the total electrical consumption is only 3 watts per bulb.

We are waiting on the delivery of 20 more bulbs
These bulbs were purchased to replace 50 watt halogen track light bulbs in an art gallery. Keep in mind these are spot lights not flood lights. So far they are performing as expected. Lamps are left on 24/7. The light is less than the 50 watt and not as warm but this was expected since after all they are only 3 watts. There have been no failures in the first 12 bulbs we purchase in over 900 hours of use.We are waiting on the delivery of 20 more bulbsIn my rating system five stars are awarded only if a product exceeds what I expected. Since they were exactly what I expected they received four stars. If you don't like my system then rate it yourself.

They don't last
Easily equals a 40 watt incandescent bulb. 2 in my range hood give a nice illumination of the cooking surface on my stove. Initial rating is very good. I bought a similar product from another vendor and was pleased at first, but had the bulbs burn out in less than 2 months. I will report back in the future, as the claimed long life is one of the major selling points. The other of course is outstanding energy efficiency.November 2013 updateAll of my bulbs have now burned out, they only lasted 6 months. Whatever I may have saved on my electric bill was wiped out by my initial purchase cost.

a bit like an led spotlight
OK, These bulbs are bright enough, but the light is cold. The other thing I don't really like is the amount of heat. They are not as hot as a traditional bulb, but there is heat coming off of it. I have other LEDs with almost no heat, so it makes me wonder, why does my LED bulb = to 75Wats have no heat,, but this on is very warm. Not so warm you can't touch it, but on the edge. Price is ok, but you really need a specific spot for it. ie, my daughters reading lamp. This shines directly onto the book, and it uses little electricity, so ok for that, but not a everyday bulb.

I really like these lights [UPDATED]
UPDATE APRIL 2013: I've had (2) bulbs die of the (6) I have been using. They died within the first month. I have (4) more left as spares so I'll see how those last. I still like the color and brightness but I hope those were just rare duds. The two that died had average home use. I have one as a night light and it has been working every night for over a month now.INITIAL REVIEW:These aren't super bright like the 6W or 9W bulbs but that's why I wanted them. I needed something a bit dimmer than the 9W LEDs I bought. They are similar in light output to 25W halogens and produce a lovely warmth just like halogen lamps. I ordered (4) of these and I'm going to order (8) more. I haven't tested these on a dimmer switch. Only had these a few days now but I hope they are reliable and last as long as they are rated for.

Good small light. My 2nd order
2nd order of these. Ordered 2 the 1st time to try them. Both worked well for a long time with nightly use. One did develop a thermal "open". i.e. works for a while when turned on then goes out after it gets hot. When it cools it comes back on then goes off again when it get hot. (repeat cycle . .) Because these are assembled with screws I opened the cycling light and re-soldered all the connections. Since then it's been working as normal. Long story short, for this price I like these lights. I agree they aren't bright, about the same as a 20w or 30 w incandescent bulb. At this price they are a great little down light. Not exactly a spotlight, but in a 10' ceiling they provide a nice walkway, behind a bar, or wall wash light. I'll probably order them again for other places in our house & cabin.
