Its heavy, grippy, durable. If anyone says otherwise make sure they have proof. Average joe is claiming the stitching is coming loose, wheres the photo? Anyways I do wish it was a little taller. Also I dont think ill ever use the rear bag

The measurement from bench top to where the rifle sits on the rest is approximately 8". Overall height of rest is 10". This is a well made rifle rest. Can't be happier when it comes to Allen Company products.

This rest is very solid yet easily adjusted. The first rest of this type that I have owned and am extremely pleased with product quality and function.

I am reviewing the shooting rest, not the bags. In my opinion it is not very well made, the pad that the rifle rests on will not last and is way too narrow for the stock of both of my rifles. They rest on top, not in the notch. Might work for AR 15. It is also too light and moves on every shot. If the points were sharp on the feet it would help. But at the end of the day, you get what you pay for.

This is a very well made bench rest bag, there is rubber that is on the bottom and wrapped up the sides a little bit. The fill is stable yet soft. I highly recommend this bag.

I find the front bag too low to use on it's own - have to put something under it to raise the rifle to a comfortable position.
