Dont pay a lot for this or you'll be disapointed.
Have to admit, this book seems a little "dated." Most of the designs within were basic and the few that are more involved are of an older era. There was a few designs that are interesting so for the low pricing, I got what I paid for so I cant complain.

Disappointing: interesting projects, poor visuals
I bought this book on the strength of its projects - it contains some interesting designs that range from jewelry to tiny baskets to ornaments for the home or Xmas tree. My main complaints about the book are the abysmal quality of the photos and the incompleteness of the directions. Not only are many of the projects photographed on very busy backdrops, but the photos are so blurry and badly printed that I find it very hard to see how some of the connections and shapes are made--this is especially annoying since the how-to directions are neither well-written nor complete, so I am having to refer to the photos to try and guess how some of the construction steps are supposed to be done. Not recommended.

Not for beginners
Intro gives you a basic grounding in wire terms and tools. Has some nice projects, but you have to be seriously addicted to wire to appreciate some of the projects- they remind me of gifts children give their parents or you find in an impromptu flea market. But, others are quite complicated and not for a beginner.

Beginners book!
This book has some great designs for people who are new to wire wrapping. Some of the designs looks like they might have been created with a jig but when looking at the direction they were all made with jewerly pliers.

Honest
This book is exactly what it says it is. It has ways to decorate your home with wirework. And since it is by Jane Davis, they are lovely. Not practical for my lifestyle-4 cats- I intend to make a couple for gifts.

Excellent book
(...) This is not a book for a beginner; she doesn't focus extensively on the "basics" - looping, bending, and wrapping wire, although she does give some instruction on how to do these things. For that, I would buy "All Wired Up" by Mark Lareau. But there are some very unique designs in this book, that I feel make it worth adding to your library, if you're a wire wrapper and already have some experience. I have been making one of her wire snowflakes every year now, and give them out as Xmas presents. (picture here at: [...]%20008.jpg).She also does not give illustrations for every single step of the projects, but I found that the instructions were detailed enough for me to complete the projects, based on previous wire wrapping experience and ordinary common sense. A good book to buy, if you want to expand your repertoire of designs and try something new.

Stinks
I got this book from the library. I'm a beginner to wire work. I do mostly seed bead work. I can make spirals now (per her instructions) but I can't link them so they look nice. My bookmarks just didn't work. My caged spiral is garbage. My leaf shapes, none of them look the same. I hate this book. I'm getting my Thing-a-Ma-Jig out and I'm going to the WigJig site for some good help. This book has some really pretty stuff. None of which I have been able to duplicate very well. She doesn't address the issue of how to create pieces with some measure of uniformity.
