Worth a little extra money. A nice little scale, especially for mixing e-liquids. Compact and accurate, and the included power adapter keeps the unit from engaging auto shut-off when plugged in. For clarity's sake, the calibration cycle for the firmware in the unit I received does ask for 200g/500g, as one review noted. (The listing notes a different weight for calibration.)Keep this scale on a flat, hard surface, and reduce any excess vibrations, such as people walking by, kids running around, loud music vibrating surfaces, or disturbances from pets. A hundredth of a gram is an extremely light measurement, and to properly weigh it, this unit needs stability. Otherwise, it WILL flutter due to environmental anomalies, as mentioned.The unit did come calibrated, though you will want to get the 200g and 500g calibration weights soon, as soon as possible. Handling causes the scale to drift slowly out of sync over time.The SC-501 is sensitive enough to measure individual drops of any PG-based flavorings, or otherwise. Perfect for DIY e-liquid design. Very pleased with this scale. I did a lot of looking for a great DIY scale, and this is one of the best combos of accuracy:cost ratio, with ability to disengage the auto shut-off by plugging into the wall outlet.

This product is not made in America as claimed. It is clearly labeled as Made in China. I would not have l purchased had I known.

Item just arrived, looks very nice, bright display, came with batteries, has plastic cover.Weight values are drifting a bit, like, 0.02g+ each consecutive measurement; if you hit 'tare' before each measurement it is more consistent.What I strongly dislike:when arrived it has a nice label attached to the front (measurement) plate, this label saying something like 'don't forget to remove cardboard protectors before turning on' blah-blah-blah.And this label is not made of plastic film, or at least a decent paper...it is made of cheap stuff, and glued to the plate really hard, and when you start peeling it off, first - you have to peel it by tiny parts, upper layer first, and so on. And after this, after I cleaned the place with isopropyl alcohol, you clearly see a footprint of this label on polished plate, and it does not go away after cleaning with any solvent.It looks like one people (pro's) make a scale, and the other people (alternatively smart) make labels.

Not my first AWS product. Open it up, go to pop batteries in, hmm it says AAA but why are they so loose? Suddenly, it occurred to me. There are no springs in the battery compartment. How in the world does that get missed during the production process???I would just be using the AC adapter anyway so I’m not gonna return the thing but I will not be buying any more AWS products. This is a joke! And to add insult to injury, there’s supposed to be batteries included in the package and there are none.

The scale has worked excellently for me. I use this to measure out e-liquid to mix by weight, also to weigh food. It comes with a plastic cover top that you can put on it to store it. I haven't really had any complaints about the product except the first day I bought it the battery cover came off of it, so now it has to be held by tape. This is the reason I gave it a 4 star review. Thankfully I can still use it by just plugging it into the wall, which is all I really need anyways.

I had the same scale before but older one was little bigger in size and it’s broke. Thai one size is smaller then usuall and it’s way expensive then other scales. But I only use this one

There are scales and there are scales. This little guy works well. I've tested it against calibrated gram weights and it is accurate. While not certified for commercial usage, I do use it in teaching my jewelry classes, and we weigh larger gemstones and silver with it. .The display is readable whether I am standing or sitting. It as all the "units" I use (g, dwt, ozT, c, oz), others) The fact that it has a charger is a huge plus for me. I hate traveling with a portable scale and finding the batteries are dead when I get somewhere. My only complaint is that I wish there were a little case in which I could carry both the scale AND the charger conveniently.

bought one 2 years ago, worked fine and replaced it because it would constantly be off by .07g even after calibration. the replacement wanders and doesnt accurately weigh anything, the scale itself seems to attenuate to EM fields; even just moving my hand back and forth produced repeatable fluctuations of the same weight, i moved a piece of metal that was next to the plug where it connects to the wall and the scale jumped up by an entire gram(!). the scale itself seems to be different than the original i bought before, dont know if the new one is just a knockoff or i got one with no shielding or something, but i guess its nice it says hello when it turns on?? waiting on my return replacement now.UPDATEgot second replacement, scale works absolutely as advertised, no wandering or jumping around, and the scale calibrates properly. dont settle for a broken scale.

Love this scale. I use it for DIY eliquid mixing. Highly accurate and amazing quality. I love the AC adapter because it disables the annoying auto off function. It’s pretty much a compact metal version of the LB-501. Highly recommended.

Worked great for about 2 weeks until it randomly stopped displaying any weight, stuck on zero.
