The Vienna Philharmonic performs its annual Summer Night Concert at Schnbrunn, an open air event with free admission, in the unique ambience of the gardens of Schnbrunn Palace on Thursday, May 14, 2015. The Summer Night Concert will be conducted by Zubin Mehta. The soloist will be Rudolf Buchbinder. With this open air concert in Schnbrunn, the Vienna Philharmonic wishes to provide all Viennese, as well as visitors to the city, with a special musical experience in the impressive setting of Schnbrunn Palace and its beautiful baroque gardens, a UNESCO World Cultural Heritage Site. Since 2008 the Vienna Philharmonic have provided an outstanding experience for all visitors. In the recent years the orchestra has been conducted by Gustavo Dudamel, Valery Gergiev, Franz Welser-Mst, Daniel Barenboim and Georges Prtre. Among the previous guest solists: Yefim Bronfman, Benjamin Schmid and Lang Lang This Sony Classicals third release of the Summer Night Concert, available on CD, DVD and Blu-ray.

Great music, great conductor and great orchestra!
A great selection of music, conducted by a master and performed by a world class orchestra. If that isn't enough, the performance by the pianist, Buchbinder, is amazing. If you like classical music even a little bit, you will enjoy this cd.

I saw this special on PBS and just had to have the CD. Zubin Mehta, the guest conductor was just superb, with brilliant attack on the Peer Gynt Suite.

Tous les concerts de Vienne sont des événements magnifiques..... Et comme l'on ne peut assister a tous, il est bon en conséquence. qu'ils soient enregistrés et vendus aux amateurs amoureux de Vienne et du Wiener Philarmonik toujours dirigé par les plus prestigieux chefs d'orchestre.
