After saving paperwork that seemed to be important for over 20 years my husband and I decided that we needed to rid ourselves of the unnecessary papers but knew that important info could be found on alot of the papers so they needed to be shredded. I worried that we would break the shredder with so many papers to shred (it took six days 4 hours each day). We used the Shredder Essentials lubrication pouches through out the shredding and were very pleased with the results....the papers all shredded and the shredder still working like new. I'm not really sure how other products work on shredders. I bough this with a new Sentinel shredder. The shredder lasted about 80 days so I'm not sure if its the fault of the shredder or if these just don't work as well as they should. At any rate, the shredder is dead! So I will leave the choice up to you.

These are basic oil-based shredder sheets. They're easy to use, do the job, and are reasonably-priced. The shredder sheets will help keep the blades running smoothly, especially if sticky labels are occasionally shred.

I have a shredder that I was considering getting rid of because while the motor worked and everything appeared to be running, paper was continually getting trapped in the teeth and I would have to constantly pick it out after shredding a few pages. Very time consuming and frustrating process, especially since this was an expensive unit that we purchased a few years ago for intermittent use. I discovered these sheets while researching a new shredder and ordered some to give it a try along with a new shredder. After shredding one page of the Shredder Sheets, I was able to use my old shredder without having to clean the teeth through multiple uses. I still haven't had to clean the teeth again and it's been in intermittent use over a couple of months. The new shredder is a backup that I haven't needed! I will be continuing to use and purchase these sheets in the future as needed.

Really took a lot of sheets to get the results needed. I might try the oil next time.
