Best Sounding, Most Comfortable Headphones
Over the past 40+ years, I've owned several different headphones including AKG professional grade headphones. These are by far the best sounding and most comfortable headphones I've owned for general listening. I mention general listening because headphones can be tweaked for different purposes. My AKGs are designed for studio use and are a bit anemic on the low end to facilitate accurate mixing and volume levels. They work great for that, but they're less satisfying for general listening (I write and record electronic music in my home studio). Enough with the resume', here's the information you'll really be interested in. These headphones have deep, solid bass, clear, uncolored midrange and plenty of sparkle in the high end. The sound is very well balanced and is well suited for any style of music. I've listened to acoustic, electronic, rock, jazz, classical, dance and used them watching movies. In each case, they sound great. My only minor criticism is that the bass can be a little too much on some styles of music such as electronic dance music. Most stereo systems and portable devices have some EQ control where you can adjust the bass level, so this isn't really a problem. I've used these on my home stereo system, my smartphone and tablet. They work equally well on all of them. No headphone amp needed. They're very comfortable. Normally, I can't wear headphones for more than about 45 minutes before my ears start to ache from the pad pressure. Not the case with these. I've worn them for over two hours at a time with no pain. They form a very solid, comfortable seal when you put them on. The foam in the earpads has a slightly different consistency than I've encountered before. They're not as spongy. Keep in mind that they form a seal that blocks some noise, but they are not noise cancelling headphones. They're average weight for this type of headphone with good build quality. Another difference with these over other headphones is that you can unplug the cord from the headset itself. It's about time someone thought of that. They come with a 4 1/2 ' cord which has a microphone so you can use them with your mobile phone. The plugs are 1/8" stereo on each end. An accessory adapter comes with them that appears to split the 1/8" stereo plug into two 1/8" mono plugs. I have no idea what purpose that serves. It would have been much more useful to include a 1/8" to 1/4" stereo adapter plug to use with stereo receivers and pro audio equipment. I bought a separate 12' 1/8" to 1/4" cord to use with my stereo system. There are numerous options for cords and adapters. Beware of the really cheap ones. If they work at all, they generally don't hold up with long term use. I have many years of experience with that. To sum it all up, these are almost sensually comfortable and have clear, well balanced sound with solid bass. The removable cord with a microphone is a plus. They work equally well on full size stereo systems and portable devices.

Great Overall Product that was put together here!
I got these in the mail today and I haven been listening to them ever since I got them! I must say that these are the best headphones I have come across within the past year! Now the 4 celebrity branded headphones that most people about are Jay-Z(Aviators), Ludacris(Soul), Dr.Dre(Beats), and 50 Cent(SMS). These headphones blow the 3 that are in the market now out of the water! I have listen to all of them and I feel that Jay-Z was rushed. The Soul were a good product overall but not great. Beats should be self-explanatory. They are flimsy and able to break easy and the bass is good on Beats but overpowering and doesnt sound good across the board in genres of music outside of hip-hop and dubstep. Now when unboxing the Streets, the people over at SMS did a good job a packing these headphones! A big box that is sealed shut so when its shipped there wont be any damage to the headphones. The headphones are tightly secured for protection. When taking them out at first glance the design was amazing. There are some people that complain about how its bulky around the earcups which I don't find a problem if you want a quality set of headphones. I did test out the durability when twisting them and 50 was true to his word. These headphones are built like a tank and it will be pretty difficult to break these. Now what everyone has been waiting for which is the sound quality. Te Streets sound great across the board I must say. From Rap to R&B, Dubstep/Electronical, and Rock. The bass is not over-powering at all the mids and highs are fantastic for headphones! These are not some headphones that were just put out there because they knew they were going to make some money off 50 Cents name. I really believe that 50 wanted to put out something that was perfect and I believe he did. That's these damn headphones were delayed so many times. But overall they are worth 250 bucks and anyone that buys them wont be disappointed. I would recommend these headphones to virtually anyone. I guarantee that anyone who purchase these headphones will be satisfy with the purchase and definitely worth it!
