I have previously written a review for this product, but Amazon does not seem to like to publish my reviews, which is strange. If scientific behavioral health journals will publish my work . . . WTF? Anyway. I took a different SAMe brand for many years. Once, when that brand was unavailable, I substituted this one. It seemed to work slightly better than the original brand, so I stuck with it. In relatively short order, I noticed great strides in mood and joint health. So, naturally, I continued using this one. Recently, the NasaBeahava Extra Strength SAM-e Supplement | Same S-Adenosyl-L-Methionine 1000mg was not available, and I had to switch back to a different product. Well, NOW the difference is unmistakable. With the NasaBeahava Extra Strength SAM-e Supplement, my mood was great and my knees did not hurt. Taking the alternative for three weeks has invited my depressed mood back on the daily. Hikes in the park with my two very strong dogs, that pull like they are trying to win the Iditarod, have my knees hurting. I need a huge mood boost, especially with the recent stock market volatility destroying my finances and my knees will thank me for taking this again. If you suffer with down mood, you know that the smell of SAMe (which is not heavenly, despite the brand), is something that you would gladly overlook, when it performs the way this product does. And if your joints get a healthy boost, well, just consider that an extra benefit. Even if this product did not help my knees, I would still take it for the lift in positivity. In fact, if the cost increases, I'll just stop taking some other supplements. Yes, it makes that much of a difference . . . for me. I don't know about you, but I'll take a happy, great mood over the other side of that pendulum any day.

They smell and are too big, but I'm a writer, and they definitely help with creativity.

Got these for my dog with liver failure. He takes th fine, but they definitely have a pungent sour milk/vomit smell

This is a new supplement for me. After reading all the benefits of this supplement I decided to give it a try. My diet although not harmful is lacking in many of the nutrients and cofactors my body needs to perform at it's best. That's what brought me here. The price is right, the manufacturer seems to know what they are doing and try their best to produce a good product. It's so hard to be objective when evaluating yourself but it appears this is doing what I intended to do. You would do well to research the benefits of SAMe from educated studies on the Internet. Stay away from anecdotal stories. Although most of the authors mean well (as long as they are not trying to sell you something) the placebo effect does enter into their opinions way too often.

I bought this expecting 1000 mg of active SAM-e per capsule, but only about 20% is actual SAM-e (around 200 mg). Even then, SAM-e has low absorption (5–15%), so taking five capsules probably delivers just 50–150 mg to your system. Plus, it’s just powder in capsules with no protection, so the SAM-e likely degrades. Overall, this product feels overpriced and ineffective. I’d recommend choosing enteric-coated, well-labeled SAM-e supplements from trusted brands instead. I should have read and researched more....

I have osteoarthritis in some joints and a little rheumatoid in a couple others, and don’t want to be on pain medication any more than I have to. I think these capsules may actually be helping (and if it’s in my head, I’m not out anything). It has taken about a month to see some relief, but that’s what I expected based on other things I’ve read. I bought a second bottle and will keep taking it for a while and see if things continue to improve or stay the same - even then, that’s still an improvement over stiffness and pain. It’s not as good as an anti-inflammatory, but also probably safer for longer-term use.

My son passed away a week after I promised him I would stop taking an antidepressant. Not good timing!!! In keeping with my promise, I decided to give this product a try. It has been a God send. It has allowed me to exist without crying my eyes out every minute of every single day. It has helped to keep my emotions manageable. I do not go a day without taking this. (3 yrs now)

I've been taking sam-e for about a year to assist with depression and my joints and I ran out of the other brand I was using so tried this one , I feel like it really upset my stomach even if I ate food before . Also smells terrible . I just stopped taking them a week or so after I started . I'm gonna go back to my old brand in the blister packs
