Excellent guide. Would highly recommend
Great guide for anyone thinking of applying for the academic foundation programme. It was really useful to get the insights of two academic doctors on the application process. The discussion on the academic career pathway was great and not something I'd really understood before. The interview questions were comprehensive and covered all the areas that came up in my interview.Data analysis was something I've struggled with and was dreading coming up in the interview. This book had some excellent worked examples so I was able to use the same approach when it came to the interview.I also found the advice on the presentation station really useful as this was very different to the interviews I'd had for medical school.

Ideal content - informative but nice and concise
Everyone knows the Academic Foundation Programme is highly competitive, so any guidance you can get is invaluable. I know many fellow students who wouldn't consider the AFP because they don't know what to expect from the application. With this book, I can definitely say you will be much better prepared and not feel like you will be thrown in the deep end! It allowed me to tailor my application according to my strengths, and gave helpful tips with examples of other successful applicants. Thank you to Rohan and Charles!

Really useful
My brother said this was great preparation for his AFP interview, especially helping with presentation skills. Great that there are more books about this sort of thing now as he was very worried.

Just a copy and paste job from other books - adds nothing new
Adds nothing new that is not present in other AFP books or online information. How they claim to be "The UK's Number One Best Selling AFP application Book" is also unclear. Are there any stats to back up this claim??
