Perfect fit for older Cummins 24v AFE intake system
I have always been a little paranoid about oiled filters, particularly in a diesel turbocharged application. Over the last 15 or so years I have had a Pro-Guard 5, and a Pro-Guard 7. I spend a little too much time thinking about whether or not I oiled the filter enough, or if it needs service, or over oiled it. This dry filter does away with that low level anxiety feeling over the oiled type filter. A simple dry filter that seems to flow really well. Glad to have made the switch.

AFE Pro Dry S
I purchased this filter because of Afe's reputation with providing high quality filters. My last aFe filter was the Pro Guard 7 which was an awesome filter. I upgraded to the Pro Dry S filter because it doesn't need any oil for it to work. If I'm in a pinch I can take the filter out and tap it on the ground to clean it.I just did a 1400 mile trip from Michigan to New York and back and this filter kept all the cool air coming in, especially driving in the mountains of Pennsylvania. I would highly recommend this filter to anyone who wants to allow their diesel motor to get a ton of air flow without compromising the filtering aspect.

Super bummed not sure what to do
Does not fit my 6.7 Cummins. Description said it did also some reviews. I'm really starting to get bummed, I loved my Afe FILTER system SYSTEM util this point. It's been extremely difficult for me to find a replacement filter that will correctly fit. Not sure what to do at this point.

Same filter that came with original AFE unit
These filters aren't cheap but thought it best to have a spare. It is the same filter that came with my AFE Stage 2 system for my '06 Ram Diesel. I clean the filter every 5000 miles by lightly tapping it on my driveway to get the loose dirt off then washing it with mild soap and water. I shake off the water till just damp and reinstall letting it dry overnite before I run the truck. One word of caution.... don't beat the filter on the ground too hard to get out the loose dirt because the wire mesh holding the filter material will buckle and lose some shape.

Got the wrong size to start with.However I got the right one with a return..

Bigger and Better
Very nice upgrade over the K&N CAI filter for 2011 Ram 1500. Had to remove the remaining section of stock airbox for it to fit, but worth the effort.
