For anyone who bow hunts, you know that you can't wear bulky coats or several layers while hunting in frigid temps. That is why my husband made this purchase. He hasn't taken it off since it was delivered to our front porch (which only took 2 days). This would be a great gift for someone who hunts. They can stop using a million hot packs and it's probably something they wouldn't buy themselves. He looks like a tool who wears vests, but it is really warm.It does require a portable battery that it does not come with, but you can find them on Amazon for under $50. They can also be used to charge phones and other devices, so multiple uses outside this vest.

Overall good product. Just be aware that it doesn't come with a battery pack. You need your own.

This vest was a gift for my dad who loves to be outdoors. It’s very well made and my only complaint is it didn’t come with the battery so I had to order it afterwards.

The battery pocket is placed near the waist, when sitting, kneeling down to work, bending and any other posture than standing straight causes the battery to get stuck between the right thigh and abdominals, obstructing the natural body mechanic of flexing the thigh near the hip area. Even when sitting down in a chair, you will be aware all the time where the battery is, resting on your right thigh. I don't recommend it. Mine came with one of the neck resistor broken, it does not heat on the right side of the neck. I don't recommend this one.

Everything I expected, I use it for winter fishing and keeps me nice and warm, sometimes even hot ! Would definitely buy for someone else!

A certain medication, makes me feel the cold really bad at times, and being able to enjoy walking my dog again is priceless.
