The paddle is light and it looks great, but the handle (and the top part) will occasionally twist. No real way to tighten it down more so it doesn't twist. Not a huge deal if you are just paddling on flat water, but there's been several times where I'm digging in hard to catch a wave (surfing) and it twist in my hands (sometimes throwing my balance completely off).
