Casiomens Tactical Rangeman G-Shock Solar Atomic Watch, Black/Black, GW9400-1B

This watch is awesome as described and arrived very fast. It has all the features you will need and looks great in the all black color. I am very happy with it and recommend it to anyone that likes the G shock style.

This watch does everything that it’s showing to do, I have the pink version that came from Japan that was $700 it’s the same watch as this one and I got this one for work, this watch I believe I paid $320 for plus tax and it works flawlesslyIt has a barometer, compass, altimeter, it has everything and everything works plus the nice part is it is solar powered and you don’t need to replace batteries they’ll last for probably 10 years if you take care of it and then those batteries at that point can still be replaced but after 10 years you might want another oneI know $300 for a watch sounds like a lot of money but it’s so much more than just a time piece and they’re rugged as hell I’ve used these watches from G-Shock for decades and they just keep getting better and better, the reason the pink one was so expensive is because it was a limited edition from Japan and they offered those in a couple of rare colors and I just liked the dark pink and so my wife bought it for my birthday and surprised me but for work I prefer blackThe case and the band are black but it’s not a shiny black it’s a flat black, the face is black behind the crystal and the numbers are dark in the data but you can still read them easily, I like the automatic light where you just hold the light button down for three seconds and then it puts it in auto mode and hold it another three seconds and it turns it back to manual mode sometimes at night it’s nice to have it on automatic because when you rotate your wrist forward and then rotate it back where you can read the time the light comes on for one second or three seconds which you can adjust as well this watch is amazing nobody makes a heavy duty watch better than Casio

The media could not be loaded.  This is an amazing watch. I also have the green militar version, however, the backout version is way better looking.Im thin and have a thin wrist as well, and this watch doesn't feel that big, as it does the King (GX 56BB- there is a comparison video). It is comfortable and light even to wear when sleeping.

Watch arrived Feb 2024 1.5 minutes fast. It showed it last synced with Atomic Server June 2023 so that's expected as it comes in a metal box. It's supposed to update nightly and sync with the server but it requires a strong signal. Leaving it in a window overnight didn't work. I physically had to go outside and face Denver and do a manual sync. 5 minutes with a steady strong signal (L3) did the trick. It's a little hard to read since it's blacked out, but I love the look and size of the watch since I have large wrists/hands. I especially like this because my work doesn't allow bluetooth devices and this is better than a simple Timex. Extremely high quality. I'd say keep an eye on it before buying. I got it for $240 and a week later it's selling for $217.

This watch checks all the boxes - never needs a battery, never needs to have the time set, never needs to connect to a cell phone to work. Some people complained about receiving a new but 10 year old watch, that simply makes no sense. This model only came out in February 2020. I checked the serial number on the one I received and it was manufactured in 2024. I have no problem seeing the display. It is darker than a traditional display however during the day it is clearly visibly and at night you can just hit the illumination button. It synced the very first night with the atomic clock in Denver. I was surprised because I’m all the way on the opposite side of the country. Overall this is an excellent watch for someone who wants a lot of functions directly on board without being troubled with charging or using Bluetooth from a cell phone.

I think the only thing I didn't really like about this piece was it doesn't have a step counter. Outside of that I really do appreciate the style and the simplicity of the display. It is light weight for the size. I have never been someone to wear a watch due to having to change batteries. Or with the smart watches having to charge every few hours and not able to wear it when charging sigh defeats the purpose of a watch. But this watch's battery should last I believe around 10 years and even though it is on the larger side it still manages to blend well into whatever you wear it is very understated and that is what I appreciate about it the fact that it isn't a flashy piece screaming look at me I love the matte finish of the case and strap. Its hard to find highly functional piece that isn't Bluetooth or a smart watch. The fact that you can have multiple useful functions without having to worry about a source of charging the watch is nice. Even though it is considered a man's piece it still can be worn on a smaller wrist and doesn't look out of place on a female. As I am not into smaller pieces for women they are usually more casual to dress watches but not durable for an active life style. I'm not hard on my things but I don't want a time piece that I have to constantly be aware of. When it comes to day to day activity and one that I have to be reminded of to treat with exceptional care and having to take off just to wash my hands rinse dishes for the dishwasher or even to take a shower I wanted and needed a piece that I can put on forget about until I need it. This does the job perfectly

The Best watch ever made by casio

The watch is very nice as all g-shocks I’ve owned, but the box it was delivered in had a huge hole busted int the side of it.

Excellent service, pukkaaa watch for life

First of all I have to say, this is a great watch with awesome features, ABC sensor, solar charging, radio wave time sync, to name a few, and a really pretty design bundled with the famous G shock ruggedness. When I first ordered this watch, instead of the standard positive display with the red accent was because I think negative displays looked much cooler and the blackout version is more of my style.But when I finally received the watch it was a massive letdown to me. Instead of black, the watch is actually a darkish grey, with a tiny bit of a blue hue, only the screen is black, but too black that I can barely see the numbers and the information displayed in the "eye" is just completely unreadable. I'm in my early 30's with 20/20 eye sight, but the display is so dim I can only comfortably see the time and information when under direct sunlight or a very bright light indoors. I have other negative Casio watches in my collection including a G shock square, GD-350-1B, and a G steel, those all have excellent negative displays that I can see the time no problem even in a unlit room only with light from my monitor screen, but compared them to this Rangeman's display it's just night and day. I've struggled a few times because I really like the feature set of this watch and the design, but every time I put it on my wrist and just struggles to see the yellow tinted white numbers on negative display, I've finally decided to return this and get the standard model.*there could be a newer batch with a better display panel, as some people say they have no issue seeing the numbers and I've also seen screenshots online with people posting with the watch and their display was indeed pretty good, on par with the visibility of my g shock square. But, for this watch I've received, it is simply not the case.Edit: managed to get another one, batch number indicates manufactured at the end of 2019. The display readability has been hugely improved. changing rating from 3 stars to 5 stars. After reading some reviews and videos I got a feeling that someone had swapped the module in the watch with the module from an older version the GW9400-3DR, as my first watch had completely different colored backlight and the terrible readability. So do be aware.

You want to be stealthy this is the watch for you. It has a negative display that some find hard to read but if you adjust your arm a little it becomes legible. The back light is a beautiful blue which makes it real easy to read in the darkened hours. It's Atomic, which is sweet. The sensors work great, once calibrated. The temperature is accurate when off wrist for about 15 minutes as it is affected by body temperature.
