Covington & Clark Piano Padded Keyboard Bench - Factory Blemish SAVE 50%

Ordered bench on the night of the 2nd....it was on my porch by noon on the 4th! Wow...I've never had an item delivered that quickly...and packaged well. As promised, the bench had slight finish blemishes at top of leg....and the finish is so beautiful that a blemish would slightly stand out. However, I am using the bench in a tornado shelter and ordered it because it was the exact size I needed and it was "solid wood". This bench is perfect for my needs and so beautiful that I feel guilty sticking it away in a tornado safe room. In honesty, I have to say the package of bolts was opened and dispersed within the box, but I found all pieces except one lock nut.....not a big deal. I can also see how this bench lends itself to adding a storage area under the seat as another reviewer stated (on another site, I think). For those who want to know, the "blemishes" were small like "bubbles" (specks) in the application of the finish itself. You have to be really looking to find them. I would be tempted to use my wood furniture "touch-up" pens; however, the finish is so highly polished that I'm not sure it would really improve the situation any. If you have kids or pets, get this and save yourself the stress of waiting for scratches to develop.

This is a beautiful little bench. The highly polished finish on the legs speaks of high quality. It is sturdy and well made. It is really 18.5 inches rather than 19.5 but that was OK with me. Even the blemishes on the legs were small and I was able to put the noticeable ones next to the wall. The reason I gave it 4 stars: one of the corners of the padded top was ripped on the tip. I have glued it and put it also next to the wall but it can be seen from the side if one looks at it. I wasn't expecting any problem with the seat. I use it in my bedroom for putting on shoes. Overall I am happy with it for the price.
