Baby Talk (A Lift-the-Flap Book) Board book – February 21, 2005

I don't know what it is about this book, but it has been the number one favorite of all three of our kids. No other book has been loved by all three. The combination of bright pictures on white background, engaging baby faces, and brightly colored *sturdy* flaps has been a go-to for all three. The sturdy flaps are key. It's not those paper bits that rip off. The book is sturdy cardboard and every flap is well connected as part of the base book, not an add on. We read this every single day, about 14 times a day, and it took til the second kid was 2 for it to start tearing lol. (p.s. duct tape comes in many colors, and the book is good to go!) I just bought three more. Not for us, but to give to my kids when they are grown. I cannot speak highly enough about this simple, affordable, perfect baby book! (I am not paid, nor am I a bot haha. I really do adore this book and recommend it to everyone. You get so much value for the cost!)

This is a favorite book of mine to gift - flap plus photos equals baby joy. However this version/Printer made the images ugly and misshapen. Really awful.

But a new oneI inadvertently bought a used one and it took a very long time and then when received it was in poor condition - pages stuck together ripped up. Not worth returning and I will never buy a used book on Amazon againBaby loves the book so I’ll get a new one

My 9.5 month old LOVES this book. She laughs when we get to the page with the happy baby, and she points and makes noises at all the other babies. She loves this book so much, in fact, that if we're reading a different one and she sees it in the pile, she'll close the current book and crawl over to retrieve this one.

Of all the books I've read my grandkids, this has been one of the most popular. The 3-year old even still chooses it. The emotions are ones young children can identify with--sad, happy, hungry, want mommy, sleepy. The book has actual photos in it, not artwork. I've given it as a gift several times. It's great because the children can practice small motor control lifting the flaps.

My son loves this book. I read it to him every day from the time he was five weeks. He especially loves the last page, the sleeping baby. This and Noisy Farm remain favorites. At nineteen months he still asks to have it read over and over. Now he makes the sounds as we lift the flaps. I have had to replace both of these books twice, as they were read so often. This has very quickly become my 14-month-old's favorite book (and he has quite a few). He's able to open the flaps himself - each flap is the size of a whole page, with a little cut-out tab to get a grip on it. Each page goes by quickly (good for short attention spans!), with a simple "This little baby is hiding/hungry/happy/sad/sleepy", with the flaps revealing simple baby-talk phrases like peekaboo, yum-yum, night-night, and a baby face to go with the phrase. Every time he picks up this book, he insists on reading it through no less than 10 times in a row.

I got this for my baby's first birthday. He wants to read it every day. I love that it has flaps that are just as sturdy as the pages. The pictures are simple, real, and clear. I substitute words I use (yay instead of hee hee etc) and it's easy to use baby signs with too.

Grandson loves this book and he reads it all the time but one thing is that he gets frustrated with the flaps being different ways.

The Giant Flaps All About Me board book was a favourite with both our daughters from about 6 months on, so I purchased this for the younger one when she was about a year old. She loved it! The book itself and the flaps are sturdily put together, and have held up to a lot of wear and tear. The photos are clear and cute, and our little girl loved saying the simple words that go with each page.

I used this product as a gift. A lovely book for babies. Flaps are not flimsy so baby can open them easily. The book is small so it is easy for little hands to hold.
