Kingfisher Illustrated Pocket Dictionary

This is a great dictionary for young students of language. The production is high-quality--good typography and colorful illustrations, and many of the words include sample sentences. I gave this to my 10-year-old granddaughter and we actually used it to invent fun word games. It's probably geared toward a middle-school–aged learner. This was exactly what I hoped it would be! Many thanks to the publishers for creating this much-needed tool for young readers and writers!

I received the package basically ripped open. I was very disappointed.The quality of the book was okay for being used.

This is a neat little compact dictionary.

Got this for my 7 year old son last year. It is easy for a child to hold and contains some pictures that made it more enjoyable to use. I think I should have opted for the dictionary/thesaurus combo though. I ended up purchasing them separately.

For second grader who spends spare time at school writing and illustrating her own stories. She can carry this in her book bag or use it anywhere around the house.

I needed some pocket dictionaries for a reference racer game I use with students. These were a nice addition to the class.
