Worked well on my cat for getting small clumps. I have not mastered the clipping of my toy poodle. Doesn’t work as well on her hair.

So this grooming kit works amazing on my Chihuahua/Terrier Mix and works Great on my less curly Cockapoo, however if you got a Cockapoo with that thicker curly hair like my other one this will not work as advertised. It just cannot cut evenly and all the way through her hair when it is long, now to keep her maintained after a hair cut it works. I do recommend the product it is just not right for all pups.

My 12y.o. dachsund mix was terrified of the groomer. But, being the trooper she is, off she'd go. One day, I thought I can not do this to her anymore. So, I bought this grooming kit. She loves being groomed! I give her treats and she isn't scared at all. She also looks very cute! I use the shortest comb on her and then the tiny scissors and do a little every few days. She wags her tail when she sees the grooming rug! I could not be more pleased. Plus, we save money! Ten stars!

I'm not sure if I would have the patience to do an entire dog with this system, but it sure helped me straighten out a terrible scissor hair cut I gave my dog while everything was on Corona lockdown. Husband and I were giving our kinky curly Bichon Frise a bath in the utility sink. He was getting shaggy, so I grabbed some scissors and tried to do a snip here and there to take care of some of the shag--our local groomer had been shut down by the police during the Corona virus lockdown. Everything seemed okay until the poor dog air dried. He then looked like a coyote with the mange. He seemed very embarrassed and I really wished our back yard had a privacy fence instead of a metal one. I ordered this kit and sat down with him and used it to trim him up. It was time consuming, but that is possibly because I was working with difficult Bichon hair. Anyway, the skittish Bichon did pretty well with the whole thing and he looked so much better after I finished. This is very well made and comes in a nice storage bag. I wasn't paid for this review in merchandise or money. It is my own opinion.

So I bought this product thinking it’s foolproof and guaranteed not to hurt my dogs. I’ve been trimming my white dogs’ mats for the last 20 years, but they have white hair and pink skin so it’s not too hard differentiating the danger zones. Well, I used this on my black schnauzer and I must have been overconfident in the ability of these scissors to guard against injury but I accidentally cut a 1/2 centimeter hole in his skin!!! Omg. It cut like butter and now I can see his insides, like a piece of pink chicken. It makes me squirm and die a little every time I think about it. So that’s never happened before. He barely squeaked so I didn’t realize until later on and then I was horrified. On the plus side, this scissor is really sharp? And strong. We are so so lucky I didn’t hit a major artery. But I did spend $60 on first aid products and am still processing how to heal this hole in his armpit. My poor poor baby. He’s getting so much extra guilt cuddling. Yeah I have to return this. Clippers from now on only, for life

My mom has a little dog that gets very shaggy quickly. Because of the pandemic we were cancelled on twice for dog grooming. My mom had electric cutters, but I made a mess of the dog and I was scared I would hurt him. If you don’t know what your doing, you can easily cause injury (he likes to be groomed so we have no issues there). With these, I was able to groom him easily. I’m always fine tuning though because with electric shears, you can go for awhile between cuts. With these scissors it seems you have to do a bit more but it’s so easy I don’t mind and no more spending the money on groomers. Totally worth it! If you want the foo foo princess puppy cut or something - no, it won’t work. But for normal clean up - it’s excellent.

Easy to give my dogs a uniform cut and not scare them with any noises. I'm very pleased!

Are use the scissors one time and they worked fine the second time I went to use them I noticed that the scissors weren’t working and then looked harder and they were getting unscrewed not together. I guess it’s poor workmanship.

Great item but not great for a dog with curls
