Yes, this kayak is a GREAT deal!
Here’s how much we liked this kayak....we are purchasing a second one!During my kayak research of multiple brands, I ended up contacting Vanhunks and having a phone conversation with Tyrone. The guy was super informative, very knowledgeable, answered every question I had, and even answered some I didn’t have. After chatting with him, we decided to buy the Voyager kayak!During purchase, you’re given a shipping arrival date, ours was about two weeks out. And the kayak arrived on that date! It was packaged nice and secure! The package includes two seats, two paddles, two bungee cords for front and back to store your items, and a bunch of fishing attachments. The only thing you need is a life jacket or two, and you’re ready to go to the water! The maiden voyage I went solo—6’1, 190 pounds. The kayak rode smoothly, very easy to navigate, and several people commented on the looks of the boat, as we have the beautiful blue Voyager.Second trip, I took my two kids, ages 18 & 14. That’s right, 3 of us in a boat! The three of us together are around 425 pounds. We had a cooler full of drinks and snacks too. I was very surprised at how well the kayak cut through the water even with 3 of us.Third trip, myself, the wife, and Pearl—the 65 pound Goldendoodle. Once again, very very smooth on the water! The dog absolutely loved it! We took a cushion from one of her beds to put in the front of the boat, and she was good to go!So, now we are going to order a second Voyager from VanHunks! You read some of these reviews, and you really wonder about people...”It’s very unstable, flips easily”—no, no it doesn’t. Lady, take your one star and stay on dry land. And another, “No paddles included, and I couldn’t contact anyone”—the brand name of the boat is stamped on the side, take that to google and amaze yourself with your one star! Mistakes happen, I’m sure. But I’m telling you, this company, and Tyrone, take care of their customers! So 5 stars from me!The only other things I can add to possibly help in your decisions...we aren’t interested in fishing. So there’s several attachments that you can remove from the kayak that give you a little more room. Also, the rear of the boat has a nice deep hole that coolers can very easily find a secure home, with help from the bungee cord—that’s nice! Also, we ordered those cheap looking life preservers, and luckily you can store those under your seat and out of the way. I’m sure most life jackets can fit under there...unless you want to wear it! Hmmm, now there’s a thought. Lastly, there’s two cargo holds—one towards the front, and one to the back. We used ziploc bags to store phones and wallets, then stuck them in both cargo holds—absolutely dry at the end of the day! That’s all the rambling I have for you, hope it helps. Hope to see you out there on the water!

Happy Kayaker!!!
The first thought I had when I saw this kayak was “DANG ! This thing HUGE!!!” It came wrapped in bubble wrap , thick plastic sheeting, with a bit of tape holding some black padding at the bow and the stern. My second thought was the packing material seemed flimsy and unable to provide adequate protection for such a large and awkwardly shaped item.Once I got it unwrapped, it took a couple of us in my condo’s Receiving department to carry the kayak out to my assigned storage rack. We were very careful with how we transported the kayak. This thing is heavy and can only be carried by the straps at the bow and stern or by the two handle straps on the port and starboard side. After we had it secured in its storage rack I took a few pictures to send to my husband. He was the one that noticed the bow of the kayak had a pretty sizable indentation. He texted me and asked me what was wrong with the bow and wanted to know how it got banged up. My mind flashed back to the rather scant packing material and figured the dent must have occurred during the shipping process. I hadn’t even noticed the dent but then again I have never owned a kayak and really wasn’t examining it that closely. I was viewing it strictly from its design appeal which made me very happy. I was thrilled by its vivid color and by its amenities. I was already imagining all the fun we were going to have paddling on Indian Creek River. The last thing I wanted was the hassle of returning a 12’ kayak to the seller. I dreaded making that call to customer service.Fortunately, Tyrone the U.S. sales representative with Vanhunks was extremely helpful. After viewing the pictures I sent him he explained to me how to fix the minor problem by directing the heat of a blow dryer slowly over the indentation, gently warming the area , while pushing firmly on both sides of the dent until the bow popped back to its original shape. That trick worked like a champ!!!Immediately after the repair we took it out for a quick run. We absolutely loved the way it handled. The ride was smooth and stable. It didn’t wobble or feel like it would topple over in a stiff wind or with any sudden movement. I felt completely safe if my comfortable padded seat. I’m so glad we chose this Vanhunks kayak. We plan on sharing many adventures in our new favorite water toy!!!Thank you Tyrone for the assist!!! We’ll add more pictures once we’re able to get back out on the water!!!

Great product has some location flaws but can be modified.
This is a fantastic kayak for the price.. im taking it to the beach here in the next couple days. Had to make a few modifications with the rod holders I didn’t like the location of them being in the middle.. so I moved them to each opposite sides and the cup holders are useless with the deluxe seats.. other than this this is a great product.

Never got paddles with it
The kayak itself is nice, however it DID NOT come with paddles like it stated in the description. No way to contact the seller about the issue only Amazon CS. They said I had to return and repurchase the kayak, which is not worth the hassle to do because of its size and weight.Another issue we found is that when using the mesh seats the back passenger's cupholder is unusable as the bar for the seat runs right through the center of the cup holder.Aside from these issues the kayak itself is nice and rides nice. Would have given more stars but having to buy 2 new paddles after what we already spent on this is what took them away.
