I drilled the top of mine to mount a vice.

Poor quality and poor after sales service
The poor quality construction timber used and the workshop quality control, produce a shoddy bench. Mine was not fit for purpose. The numerous splits in the timber and knots is not good. I have asked Abor for a replacement part, as shown in the image, they agreed to send the part the following day 24 hour Parcel Force. I'm still waiting, nearly 2 weeks later! I would reccomend anyone contemplating purchacing a bench from Acorn, they should look elsewhere.

Big solid bench, very easy to put together, highly recommended, should last me a few years, delivery was very good and the polish driver even bought it in the garage for me, top service all round 5 stars from me
