The Art Of Timing The Trade, Your Ultimate Trading Mastery System

Putting the Trade Together
I have read many investment books and philosophies with respect to trading. I have become a believer in Bill O'Neils (Investors Business Daily & How to Make Money in Stocks) methods of identifying growth stocks, but felt there must be a better method of identifying buy and sell points from a more technical perspective rather than historically tested chart patterns. Tom's book provides this system, which can be back tested with Bill O'Neils charts in both of his books (see also How to Make Money Selling Stocks Short). Tom never guarantees success or is trying to sell you products, he truly is teaching a method that if studied carefully and in my opinion used in conjunction with many of Bill's proven methodologies will provide the willing student a far greater chance of outperforming the markets.

Not as expected
I had pretty high hopes do the book but didn't live upto the expectations.I hear Tom once in a while on radio and thought this would be a good book. The issue I see is there are a lot of schart talk but using some dummy numbers instead of actual stock charts. And i felt it is not detailed enough.

Excellent Book !
Excellent Book! Highly Recommend it!You can immediately apply his trading system and strategies! Covers his topics well. Not simplistic but does provides readers with a better way of viewing market movements (than watching 12 indicators) to determine your entry and exit positions.

Well written and right to the point. Tom really shows the value of volume and patterns in investing. Very easy to pickup.

For novice but not for serious traders
First of all, I have to admit that I love to listen to TFNN programs. I truly believe the radio hosts there are class-acts and really care about us out there. But, when it comes to trading system, I only follow Basil Chapman and Ken Shreve. The reasons are two folds; Both of them integrate IBD method in their trading systems, and more importantly, their consistent winning trades speak for themselves. Truly, it takes a lot more than the content of this book to make you a successful trader. This book is good for novice who wants to understand about the market and basic technical skills. However, I do not totally agree with how Tom interprets the price and volume signatures though.

Great book easy to read easy to understand
Very clear no Bs no filler no nonsense and just the right amount of colorful stories. Some books on this subject are full of confusing charts and endless tales about nothing. This book delivers the facts along with enjoyable stories I could relate to the subject.

Great Education
This book is a great educator for stock trading technical analysis. Very specific on how market supply and demand works. Describes a great system for trading stocks. Unlike most so called stock market experts that just blame every negative market outcome on politics, Tom sticks to the specific technical aspects of how to make (or not lose) money in the markets. The price of the book is fantastic. It is worth a lot more.

Great intro for beginners
I feel that this book is best for beginners, seasoned traders will find very little new material in this book.I do, however, like it as it is an easy read with a clear style, good, not revolutionary, introduction to trading.
