Loved this Book
This is the story of Brielle Montgomery, an Austin, Texas Kindergarten teacher who travels to Scotland at her mother’s request to help on an archaeological dig at the old Conall Castle. A Castle where all its inhabitants were slaughtered down to the last child. This was a mystery in history as no one knows who was responsible for this heinous crime against this Clan. One that Adelle, Bri’s mother had studied for years and had so far not found the answer to the question, who did it? All Bri wanted in life was to find love, a husband, lover and be a mother. As Bri and her mother are sifting through ancient books in the clans old basemen hidden away in a secret room they discover an enchanted plaque with a picture of a woman, a woman who strikingly looks just like Bri. Under the image the plaque bears a spell written in Gaelic. This is so alarming to Bri; she painstakingly begins to sound out the words which in turn is a very powerful spell that thrusts her back in time to the year 1645. Finding herself in the secret spell room of Morna, the sister of the old Laird, the very room where she left in her present time.Eoin Conall, a dark haired man with ebony eyes, right pleasing to the eye, after the passing of his father is quickly thrust in as the new Laird of Conall Castle. He and his brother Arran sadly bury their father, Alidsar, Eoin taking his rightful place as head of his clan. But before his father’s death, he had made an arrangement for Eoin to marry Blaire of the MacCristy clan to ensure the safety of both clans. You see, Alisdar’s sister Morna, a witch, foretold of great tragedy to the castle and its clan, one of history’s greatest and well known legends in Scottish history. There would be a woman born into the future that would come and try to change the history of the clan itself but Eoin had to marry Blair. This prediction was foretold and he believed it and would not betray his sister’s memory. The problem is, Eoin doesn’t like this shrew of a woman even though they had grown up together, she is not a nice person and doesn’t want the marriage that their fathers’ have arranged any more than Eoin does. From there this story takes off on a whirlwind of the characters, their lives and loves, secret rooms, spells, a good ole Scottish fight, impending doom and of course romance.Does Bri find her love? Does she go back to her own time? Is she able to change the historic tragedy of this clan? What happens to her mother? All good questions that will haunt your waking hours till you finish reading this story. Then you have Mary. Old Mary as she refers to herself, is sorta the housekeeper cook type of person, the one you need to know in the Conall castle. She had been there since the boys were babes. This lady is a hoot. She is very outspoken and won’t hesitate to box the ears of the new Laird or his brother. I loved this character; she keeps the book light and funny.First I have to say I've read a lot of time travel and this book by far is definitely on my top list. I loved it! The author’s style of writing is excellent, the way she introduces the characters and relates her story is in a way that you will fall quickly into the story line and feel closeness to the characters. Good grammar, good editing both a plus with me.The book has some humor; the love scenes are not extremely hot but written in very good taste, a little clan fighting which is a must in any Scottish set story line. Once I started reading it I couldn’t put it down and found myself reading really fast just to see what was happening in any given part of the story. There are some surprises along the way, some gruesome parts as well, but to me it just made the book a success in my eyes.I would highly recommend this book to any Time Travel fan and I will definitely read the next book in the series.

Wow!!
Great story.Time traveling to another century never gets old! When a lonely kindergarten teacher, Bri, goes on an archeological dig in Scotland with her mother to research the remains of the Conall Clan that perished in the 17th century, things go awry.Meanwhile, the Laird Alistair Conall is dying, leaving his oldest son to take over the clan. An arranged marriage was planned with another clan when Eoin and Blaire were just kids. Now with his fathers death, the wedding must take place. What Alistair never told his son was that years ago, his sister, Morna, who was a witch saw the future and conjured up a spell to bring someone back to their time to forewarn them of a battle set to destroy them.Only Bri never expected to fall in love with her husband, and Eoin definitely never expected to need his wife by his side.A must read!!

Time for romance.
I loved the characters but too many problems with this time exchange. I'm not sure how this would work with the castle gone in the present.

Good read
Why I liked this book I'm not big on historical romance even with time travel. I probably wouldn't of pick up this book if not for my accident watching of Outlander and the books the series was made from. I now seem to be always on the lookout for the Scottish historic romance with a time traveler. This book was face paced but I'm not that strongly invest in the storyline or charters to read on.

Intense
Yes, this is a love story, but it is also a race against time. Bri and her mom want to find out who is responsible for destroying a family and a castle back in 1745. They got more than they bargained for when Bri is swept back in time and finds herself in love. The author lets us know who it is who would destroy the clan Conall, but will Bri be successful? I am glad that a bit of the next novel is offered as a teaser, because it reveals success or failure of the original mission.

Good Start!
I have not read this author before and as I liked the title and had a chance to read it for free, I wanted to give it a go.This small thing bothered me, I understand it was for the plot but a museum would not release objects for you to stick in a car and just take to a random hotel. It would have to be a planned and safe location. And the whole ring thing confused me. It was supposed to be Alasdair's ring that was used in the spell. Surely they would know the difference between that ring and Morna's. And how did Morna's make it work?It was also buried with their father. Surely as the Laird, Eoin would know he would need it for his seat so it wouldn't have been buried in the first place. But other than that I really liked how it worked, how it came together. The characters were really likeable, the story flowed well. It was a quick read for me as I did not put it down.Overall I am quite excited by this author and would happily read more.

Glad it was free
This series kept popping up in my recommended section so I thought I would give it a try. The first book was free and I'm glad it was, I didn't hate the book but this story has been told so many times you have to have something different to say. This book has all been done before if you've never read a timetravel book before this is an okay version but there are waaay better than this out there. I will not be buying anymore of the series.

Okay, but not great
I liked the premise of characters from the past and present switching places in time, but this story just didn't really work for me. The hero and heroine didn't have any spark of chemistry, and the hero made some really questionable decisions throughout the story. Not compelling enough for me to continue with the series.

Nice story let down by the ending
I liked this story, however I felt the ending was a little rushed as if the author had run out of ideas. Also, as someone who is no longer able to eat haggis I was disappointed at her character's comment about not wanting eating it when she had not even tried it. A staple for breakfast in Scottish hotels.

Lovely Scots
I thought the story was lovely. It was literally like a dream of romance and Intriguing twists. I love stories of gone times, they always seem romantic and Scottish men with a castle what more could you ask for.
