ScandiTech Battery Model iP5 - Replacement Kit with Adhesive and InstructionsReplacing A Smartphone Battery Is your battery draining quickly? Does your battery percentage jump? These are signs of a worn out battery. All lithium batteries, today's standard battery type in electronics, wear out with time and with use. A drop in capacity can usually be noticed after six months. After 12 months (~300 charge cycles), it's common that the battery has lost 10-30% of its original capacity. Eventually, the battery will fail to keep the phone running stable and the phone could shut down in use or in standby mode. FAQ When could a battery replacement fix my phone? - Phone rebooting on low battery percentage or when demanding apps are used - Battery percentage jumps - Worn out original battery - Swollen/shorted battery - Light water damage (fresh/tap water damage) When is it unlikely that a new battery will fix my phone? - Extensive water damage (especially salt water damage) - Motherboard damage/short circuit - Non-battery related problems (some issues might appear to be battery related even though they are not) Scandi Tech Battery Model iP5 - 1440 mAh capacity - Brand new with 0 charge cycles - 12-month warranty (contact our support through your Order List in your Profile if assistance is needed) The kit includes: Step by Step Manual Battery (3.8V 1440 mAh Lithium-ion) A Set of Adhesive We are so confident in our Scandi Tech batteries that each battery comes with a 1-year free no-hassle replacement guarantee!Click the Add to Cart Button at the Top of this Page Now and rejuvenate your phone!

Quality battery that works and holds a charge like it's supposed to
I put this battery in my teenage son's early 2012 era iPhone 5. I'm delighted with the resulting performance. His iPhone 5 had the well known problem of suddenly shutting down for "low battery" from a 40-60% charged state. I only heard about the not-so-well-known Apple iPhone 5 free battery replacement program after the three year coverage period expired. Maybe I forgot about the announcement they sent iPhone 5 customers - NOT! FYI, if you're still within the three years from purchase window, you have until March 2016 to have it fixed for free. Google is your friend - "Apple iPhone 5 Battery Replacement Program". Oh, and they also have a similar program for the flaky sleep/wake button that ends in December 2015. You're welcome.Anyone with a teenager knows how a smartphone is THE ticket to their social world. I promised him if he got straight A's last spring, I'd pay for a in-kind replacement and he could instead invest his earnings from the summer job. He kept up his end of the bargain so I set about looking for an equivalent 32G iPhone 5 in decent shape. After I recovered from the sticker shock of what these dated phones are selling for, I decided to take a try at replacing the battery myself. I watched several YouTube videos on the subject and ordered the correct tools for a few bucks here on Amazon. Since he had suffered with this iPhone malady for so long, the last thing I wanted to do was put in a crappy "inventory blowout" battery in his phone. I suspect many of the el cheapo ones you see here on Amazon with the bad reviews are production rejects or come from disqualified OEMs - perhaps the same OEM that gave us the defective battery to start with. Reviews matter so I settled on this ScandiTech battery.I can report that after several weeks of heavy, torturous teenage use, my son is most happy with the new found reliability of his electronic appendage. The battery is holding its charge very well thereby increasing the intrinsic value he places on his phone. Dad gets hero points and improved parental leverage from that increased intrinsic value. It gets his attention when I suggest that if those grades ever begin to fall off, his phone may need to spend some time locked up in my desk at work. :-)

BEWARE OF DARKNESS
Having used Scanditech batteries 4 times previously for various iPhones that we have, I was happy to find them still available on Amazon.Imagine my dismay when after installing the new battery, the screen on my iPhone briefly went all white, then black never to work again........The phone wouldn't turn on or reboot.I reinstalled my old iPhone battery which had a full charge and the phone was still totally dead! No amount of effort was able to resuscitate my iphone.Amazon was at first willing to help me deal with the problem. After not getting an email from the Department that I was told would deal with this, I reached out again only to be told that all I could get was a small credit of $10 to my account. Certainly won't go very far to pay for a replacement iPhone!Beware, sometimes easy fixes become a nightmare. Don't expect any support from Amazon if this battery cooks your iPhone.

iPhone 5 Battery Replacement - Exceptional Value
This exact replacement battery is an exceptional value built with top quality construction that performs as good as the original! I didn't realize how badly my original battery had deteriorated in retaining a charge until I installed the ScandiTech. And shipping was very fast and packaging top rate too. Plus, and most importantly, ScandiTech provided first class support and guidance. The first battery sent me did not work properly but in all honesty the fault might have been with me in how I routed the battery connector wire during installation that might have damaged it.In any case, SandiTech diagnosed the possible causes and shipped out a replacement battery immediately which worked perfectly. I have been an Amazon customer for over 10 years with hundreds of orders and SandiTech provided the best seller direct support I have experienced. But let me close with a SPECIAL INSTALLATION NOTE: be very, very careful with the battery connector wire. It is naturally constructed on a miniaturized scale and therefore must be gently handled accordingly; e.g., do not bend or force-route in any way. For that matter, apply this caution and care to the entire assembly/disassembly process and it will greatly contribute greatly to a successful battery replacement!

Works great
Ok so it's not a genuine battery but I can buy several of these for the price of a genuine one, it works great, doesn't get hot while charging, has good standby time and a reasonale use life, however iff you use your phone quite a bit you will find it will need a charge before the wnd of the day, yet to be fair it needed charging when it had the genuine battery in it.Very little difference between this battery and the genuine one, all in all good value for money.N.b I have bought two batteries previous to this not feom this seller, one didnt work at all and the other got warm while charging from brand new, so I would choose this seller over others

Doesn't live up to expectations
I could have bought one a lot cheaper from an auction site but went with this as the reviews were so good. I therefore thought it was worth paying extra. When it arrived, it was completely discharged which concerned me as if it had been left like this for some time, it may have suffered damage. I fitted it without any issues and charged it for a long time until fully charged. I have found that it does not hold its charge as well as the original and other replacement batteries I have bought for phones. In hindsight I would have been as well off taking a chance on one from an auction site. The delivery was very speedy so couldn't fault that.

Best battery performance my iPhone 5 has ever delivered! You get what you pay for.
The original battery supplied with my iPhone 5 was never great. I read too late that there was a recall on them and put up with it for a couple of years. The replacement battery I bought a year ago was no better than the one it replaced. The phone would reboot randomly when running apps at under 60% charge. It turned out that this battery reported as new capacity and one charge cycle even after a year of use - tell tale signs of a cheap battery. As a final effort before replacing the phone, I chose to try the ScandiTech battery on good Amazon reviews. It arrived well packaged. After fitting, my IPhone 5 is transformed. With light use, I've gone 8 days on 3 full charge cycles. It reports charge cycles correctly. I was able to take a flash photo at under 10% charge with no problem. In summary, I'm very pleased with my purchase so far. I have bought one for our iPhone 6 too. I hope that's as good.

Great replacement battery - well packaged
Direct replacement to revive a very short battery life iPhone 5.Well packaged and speedy delivery.Pretty much back to the original performance of the original. No problems with fitment as form fit & function is great!Comes with a replacement "glue strip" and tab - I didn't need it as the original was still sticky and the tab did not rip during procedure.

Excellent
Excellent! Prompt arrival and has rejuvenated an old iPhone. Cheaper and far better than the battery inserted by local phone shop then replaced again for poor performance.Very clear fitting instructions and online video. It took about 15 mins going very slowly and carefully. I took the shortcut and avoided removing the whole screen to replace. This is one of the options listed but not preferred as risk of damaging wires connecting the screen when opened if it's not kept in a vertical position while working.I found that when opened, an elastic band around the screen (top section) fixing it to an unopened wine or drink bottle just behind the phone worked perfectly to keep the screen in position with no hands needed. The bottle is heavy enough that it won't topple or move.
