I bought the kit as an electronics introduction for my 9 year old grandson to help him understand the basic principles of circuitry.The kit was fine but the build holder would never have worked - the retaining screw prevented the bulb being fully inserted and the thread on the holder did not work so we could not use the bulb. The buzzer & motor all worked fine.The battery holder construction was brittle and will not last long.Probably not worth the money, spend more and get something better.

The product was excellent for my 3 year old going on 4. Its easy to assemble a good starter electric kit. For the price, it is worth it.

I purchased this for my 4-year-old son and myself to mess around with and it is a fun bit of kit. It sparked lots of questions for him to ask me and he loved seeing the light come on or the fan spin when we set the wiring up correctly.I set up the circuits wrong a few times on purpose to see if he could figure out the issues and when he did it was fun talking it through with him. I would highly recommend it for inquisitive children.

Present for grandson . Item enabled him to do lots of things, kept him busy and interested.

I bought this for my grandaughter to do with her dad. I have taught primary school children and done lots of electricity experiments with many young children. I did think the components would be a little more sturdy but time will tell. It will be only one child so should be ok. the windmill blades were a little stiff to get on the motor. However for the money I am sure it will give lots of fun and learning too.

My son is 11 years old and got bored after first 10 minutes. He told me this is basic and not too much to do with it. Might be more appealing for younger children

Small set with somewhat limited functionality and similar educational value. Decent quality, but at a fairly steep price if you only buy one or a few sets (they seem discounted in bulk, for school purposes I suppose). I bought this for our children to learn them a bit more about electricity and electrical circuits. I use used to play and experiment myself with similar straight forward electrical components when I was their age in the 1970’s. I found it quite exciting to build my own ‘super computer’ with doll house lamps and spare electronics fixed to wooden wine crate. I still has some function parts that the children can now combine with this set.I actually bought two sets of these to add some further play value.So the set is small but reasonably okay. A tiny instruction / suggestion manual is included. My main issue is that the range of included electrical elements that can be activated is a bit limited; a motor, a buzzer and 1 lamp holder (with 3 spare lamps). So I’ve started a search for more. The crocodile clips to connect the circuit elements are quite helpful and child-friendly - (I used to prepare wire ends and connect them through tiny screws to the lamps, this is much better).To my surprise our youngest one is quite keen and good at electrical circuits. I must also say what we bought several, more ready-to-play and more modular “Snap Circuit’ sets, that the children have totally enjoyed, albeit these come at a much higher price point. So this basic circuit set is more to get them familiar to the real wire and electrical connections.
