Perfect Stapler
This is perfect for the newsletter that I send out quarterly. It crimps the edge/corner and keeps the pages together. Since the newsletter is sent without an envelope, it also cannot have any holes in it,, so the other staple-less staples don't work for me.Unfortunately, it only staples five pages together, but I will make it work!

Decent for small batches.
So I teach in jails, and I've been looking for a safe way to staple papers together. I've tried a bunch of different staplers, all of which leave holes in the papers. This makes it hard to actually keep packets together. So I saw this product and thought, "hey, it might be exactly what I'm looking for!" It certainly would have been, save for a few small issues.Firstly, this stapler advertises that it can bind up to 5 sheets of paper together; that isn't the case. I can bind a max of 3 sheets. Also, because the imprint is so short and thin, I always have to staple the packets twice.Still, it is easy to hold and use, and my assignments are stuck together once stapled. Definitely a good buy!

Didn't work well
At First it operated as intended, BUT, not long after, it began "CUTTING the paper rather than "CRIMPING" the paper. Now it is useless. Don't waste your money on this item.

Only catches the very top of the pages
I could really like this item as it tightly crimps the pages together. But I feel like the paper needs to slide further into the device so the crimping is not on the very edge of the paper.

Neato gadget that works!
Oh, what fun, a stapler sans strap,Binding paper without a metal tap.For years we've used the clunky kind,But now it's time for a change of mind. This strapless wonder, it holds secure,2-4 pages, you can be sure.No need to fuss with added thickness,Just pile 'em up, no need for quickness. From the land of Origami, it came,A little zipper cremp, just the same.Reminds me of paper folding art,A design that's truly off the chart.Better than the punch-and-loop,This stapleless wonder, a true scoop.Especially handy when shredding docs,No need to remove, just shred in box.So if you seek a stapler new,This one's for you, it's tried and true.A strapless stapler, a joy to see,Binding papers, happily!

Pretty Much Useless
As other reviews have said, the paper crimping mechanism in this stapler is poorly placed. It crimps on the very, very edge of the paper so that the pages will separate if you try and flip through them. I tried using this multiple times to make sure it wasn’t just me holding the stapler incorrectly, but it’s definitely how the product is designed. I had to return it.

Tested the Harinacs Press Crimping Stapler
I give this crimping stapler five stars. I wanted a stapleless stapler that didn't make a hole in the sheets of paper.I bought this for carbonless copy forms. I didn't want to deal with contact cement or staples. After reading all the comments, I decided to play with this crimper in many ways including jamming it with paper. I find this crimper very solid if you pay attention when using it.The crimps are around 1/16" from the edge. Make sure the sheets of paper are stacked straight and are pushed all the way into the mouth of the crimper. If you have to jam the paper in the slot, that may be too many sheets. One pump, the sheets will pull apart easily without tearing at the edge. More than two sheets of paper may need two pumps in the same spot for a stronger crimp. With two pumps, the top sheets may tear at the crimp spot when pulled apart. Three pumps in the same stop will definitely tear at the crimp. Slowly pull apart parallel with the crimp to lessen tearing. I added a crimp at the bottom of the pages to make sure the carbonless copy sheets stayed in place. It seems four pieces of paper will slide into the crimper without a need to wedge them in. Six sheets of paper seems to be too many. It will depend on the weight of the paper. If the paper gets stuck, pump the crimper several times in hopes of a release. Remove the sheets the best you can. For stuck pieces, poke a long pin in the crimp area to dislodge what is stuck. Don't leave the pin in there. Pump again without any paper in the slot. Repeat until you can smoothly pull two sheets of paper through the mouth. I cannot speak to how it crimps cardstock or construction paper.I hope my explanations with testing helps with everyone's curiosity about this stapler. I am happy with my purchase. This crimping stapler seems solid and I hope it lasts a very long time.
