Simple Pleasures
"Ask Me" by Bernard Waber is about a little girl and her fatherand the simple things they encounter on their walk on a beautiful fallday. No plot, nothing dramatic occurs, and there are no messages otherthan the sheer enjoyment of being together. The illustrations are gorgeousand exuberant, and one is swept along in their pleasure. This book wouldbe a wonderful addition to any child's library (3-8).

Love this book.
My son and I love this book. We read it every night before bed. We switch off with reading the roles. I brought this book into my sons class to read. It triggered a conversation with all the kids. They all wanted to asnswer different questions. Just a fun book.

Great Father/Daughter Storyline, but Illustrations Disappoint
As a father with a four year-old daughter, I was excited to order this book and share it with my little girl. The words and text are quite fine and we both laughed at all the similarities between the book and how we speak to each other. My only critical comment is that the illustrations are not of the same quality as the story. The color scheme has its own attractiveness, but the line drawings are extremely simple. The illustrator's line is often floating across a white background struggling to find definition for the jawline or other details. The characters are bland, without any memorable features, and do nothing to establish an emotional connection to the story.

Sweet little book - it's a nice addition to the collection.
My two year old loves this book. It's written as a dialogue between father and a curious daughter. It has lovely illustrations of the two spending a fall day in the park. It's quite nice.

A lovely book.
Charming story of a typical day with a young girl and her dad. Given as a gift to a granddaughter with a dad just like him.

Mixed review
My daughter loves this book (18 months old) and even gives her dad and I a big kiss at the end when the daddy gives the little girl a kiss. Super cute. Although, personally, I don't really care for the illustrations and I find the story (i.e the conversation between the dad and little girl) a bit long/boring/unnecessary/meaningless. Just my personal opinion!
