"From Birth to Enlightenment"
The spiritual path calls seekers to be mindful of the grace and beauty, as well as the pain and suffering, present in even the most mundane human life. From birth to enlightenment, the human journey to wholeness need not be taken alone; it is best taken in the company of wise, loving, and inspiring companions such as the authors here included(see following titles). Their books can help readers capture the magic and enjoy the blessings the world offers, actively create and manage abundance, mourn, heal, and mend the broken places, and finally arrive at that most desired "peace that passes understanding."A mother cradling a tiny baby in her arms is an icon of peace. Yet today's parents are often so overwhelmed by the pressures of daily life that many magical moments are missed. Baby Haiku distills the magic into three-line poems celebrating the wonder of new life. Written by Lily Wang, each haiku in this work is like a drop of clear water creating ripples of contentment throughout a busy day, and readers may be inspired to create their own poems in honor of such moments of shared peace and beauty.by Kristine Morris, ForeWord Magazine (permission to quote granted) The Seven Spiritual Laws of Success: A Practical Guide to the Fulfillment of Your Dreams [7 SPIRITUAL LAWS OF SUCCESS ] Soul-Full Eating: A (Delicious!) A real comfort for mothers-to-be
This book touches my heart!I have been thinking about having a baby. But I am very nervous about this. Because I tend to think about all the troubles of having a baby... But when I read Lily Wang's Baby Haiku I find that it comforts my heart greatly. It helps me see that the process of raising a baby could be rather spiritual. It deepens my view about the relationship of mother and baby. This book is cute and full of love, joy and surprises! It definitely provides a new and inspiring perspective on looking at mother and baby. Here is one of my favorite poems in the book:Children are full of magical powerMom's heart needs clarityTo receive their messages of beautyWhat a message! I am getting ready for the New Age Baby !!

NOT A WORD WASTED
I have been teaching Haiku workshop for a long time. Wang's book is a real treat to her readers. Crisp, intense and often ends with a surprise and a lesson. 3 lines are very simple yet difficult poem to write: you need depth in a glimpse. Wang has made the difficult art with simple mastery by creating a unity of three worlds: world of nature, world of divinity and world of human. Throughout her work, not a single word is wasted.

NOT HAIKU
I was looking into this book, because I am a haiku poet myself, so I read several comments and poems that readers have sampled. These may be fine poems, but they do not meet any requirements to be considered haiku. The first and foremost component of a haiku is that is is brief (17 or fewer syllables). My problem with this is the false claim that these are haiku poems. There is already enough confusion out there without this!!

Baby haiku
I don't generally like haiku, but I found these poems to be easily accessible by the normal reader with its use of everyday language. Her poems beautifully express what it means to be a first-time mother as well as addressing fatherhood and becoming a sibling. The unique cover as well as the moving poems makes it a great gift!
