HosimRC Car Rear Gear Box ZJ05 Spare Part 15-ZJ05 for GPTOYS S911 S912

I use this car to play with my dog...he loves it and goes nuts to chase it. The differential did go bad after a few months, and the one thing I learned is that you should never slam it into reverse to stop it from going forward (like a brake) Replacing this part is not easy however...unless you have mechanical experience, you will find it very challenging. You don't have to be a genius, but if you have never replaced a CV joint on a car for instance, or if you don't know what this means, you are going to have some trouble. That doesn't mean you can't do it, but be advised that it's not a few screws and done.

I used this new gear box for less than 15 minutes and it broke again. Same part that broke before because they are made of plastic. Shame cause its a nice toy!++UPDATE: They have great customer service and sent 2 spare parts for free. hope it works long enought, thanks!

So the part is identical to the one that comes in the car. Like others have said, the plastic gears are too fragile. But, just to clarify, all the plastic gears are just fine *except* those in the differential. They use two big metal gears to mesh with four super tiny plastic gears. Those little plastic gears are the ones that fail - because they are super small and are interfacing with a metal gear. If they just had an upgraded part option that changed those little gears to metal, I think all the other plastic gears would probably be fine. (This is what I found when tearing down the entire transmission to find the failure.)Side note... you can also buy just the differential, but it only saves a couple dollars and requires even more time to change it out.

I changed out my stripped gear box with this and it works great. Only worry I have is this one will break some gears too. I wish they used metal gears.

First and foremost nice car but the gearbox is crap. .have 2 of these cars first the motor went in 2 days on one then the gearbox on the there in a week so I swap gearboxes so my son can continue playing with it then the other one went bum so luckily I had ordered 2 of themy one time but I got the gearbox yesterday then set up both cars last night but today about 3mins in the gearbox died again what the hell. ..poor damn quality very very poorThis is an update on my product....the customer service is excellent I must say and I have given addional respect to a person that can see they problems and try to have them resolved ....I will further update this rating

Bought this to replace the one from my LiteHawk MT Crusher, it fits perfectly, just a note, I bought 2 of this and the differential included is stuck, I had to open it to losen it a bit, and apply grease, as there where non inside the diff. Other than that it works as expected.

Identical OEM trany for my high speed 2WD. Just reassemble in reverse, properly and it will be a new transmission and gear assembly. Hosim RC rocks.

The car is fin but after you replace a gearbox 30 days deep and basic parts exceed the cost of the car, it's starts to become bothersome. We bought a $60 car and 3 months of adult use has cost an additional $50 in parts.
