DC 12V 0.01-2000MHz 2GHz LNA Broadband RF Low Noise Amplifier Module VHF/UHF Gain 32dB AMP Board

As mentioned in another review , the shield was loose in the bag, and needed to be soldered to the board (after cutting off one stray mounting tab). There's a single little low noise A08 MMIC (Avantek MSA0885) on the board which, in my hands, gives 25 dBm to 29 dBm gain across 30 to 500 MHz with a few spurs between 100 and 300 MHz. The data sheet for the MMIC says 32.5 dBm gain at 100 mHz and 22.5 dBm at 1 GHz, but my test set-up was likely not ideal, so I feel I'm getting acceptable measurements. Overall, not a bad little unit for the price point.

I am not sure what the sellers definition of an "LNA" is, but this amplifier is not really low noise. As measured on an HP 8970A Noise Figure Meter this amplifier has a 2.5db to 3.5db noise figure across the frequency rage (pretty much a 3db Noise Figure). Also, the gain drops from 30db to ~15db as you sweep from 100MHz to 1500MHz.

Small size, easy to fit and mount in limited enclosure space. Good price.

This pre-amp works very well. Haven't placed the lid (square metal thing) on, but works better than others I've tried.Only thing I would like to see, is a small case around it 😅😅.

Works good for what it is.Only tested on a few frequencies for noaa satellites reception on sdr receiver.

I tested this with my signal hound equipment and it performs great at the freqs advertised. I had 4 and they were all very consistent with performance. We expected a cheap throw away items to tear it’s actually good.

Used as a preamp for an SDR RTL. I have several of these and they all work great. 73
