This unicorn cake topper was the hit of my granddaughter's rainbow/unicorn party. Costco makes a delicious, very reasonably priced rainbow sheet cake. When we put the unicorn topper on it, it looked like a custom made, expensive cake. It was perfect for my granddaughter's pool party. Also, it is not only very pretty, but surprisingly large, sturdy and heavy. It stays in place when you put it on your cake.

This is nice quality. It is heavy for cake but you could put wooden kibob sticks or straws cut to the height of your cake, poke them in cake for support where you want the unicorn and cut a piece of cardboard and cover with foil or parchment or use a plastic plate divider circle, set it on your cake over the sticks or straws and set your unicorn on top. Just remember to remove sticks before serving.

This unicorn was for a cake topper for my 4yo. I loved that it could be used as a toy later. She lovesss that too. It is quite large, almost 6" long and 4" or more tall. Keep that in mind when planning your cake top. You will need a lot of surface for it to stand on. It is quite hefty and sturdy, but that means it needs to be well secured on the cake. It is really a pretty unicorn with details like flowers in its hair and a nice face. The horn broke during play because this is a resin feeling oiece. It isn't plastic, so be gentle when using. For a cake topper though, it was outstanding and worked great.

Just to be clear, this is more like an action figure than a cake toper. Its beautifully made, and a nice size, but to put it on the cake you have to sink the legs of the unicorn into the cake in order to keep it standing, but on the positive side, it can be used as a toy afterwards. Its really beautiful and worked well with the theme. I'm giving it 5 stars because of the quality, but be aware that it isn't your usual cake topper.

I specifically chose to buy this product instead of a unicorn toy since it was advertised as a "cake topper," but I should have read the reviews first. It is extremely solid and heavy. Like other reviewers, our unicorn immediately sank to the bottom of our cake. Also, there are large numbers printed on the side of the horse near the belly (opposite side of that shown in the pics) which looks really tacky. See pics attached. For us, this was no big deal because my kiddo and I have a tradition of making [ugly] cakes together every year, so this made it even funnier. My husband cracked a lot of jokes about the sad scene from The Neverending Story, and I added it to my photo collection of annual Pinterest fails. However, if you are someone that takes these things seriously, this cake topper could be a real disappointment and/or disaster. That said, my kid thought her cake looked "magnificent" and loves this as a toy. If I knew then what I know now, I would buy a My Little Pony unicorn toy instead--it would have been lighter and she probably would have liked it even better as a toy afterward. On the other hand, our cake would not have been nearly so remarkable without it.

This was perfect for my daughter's birthday cake!! It turned out amazing. It was definitely heavier than I thought it would be and slightly bigger..but I made it work! My daughter not only loved her cake, but this unicorn turned out to be a beautiful décor in her room for years :)

Arrived with the horn broken, despite being carefully wrapped. No time to reorder. Was also to big and heavy for the size of the cake we had. It was cute, but unfortunately broken.

I knew my five-year-old daughter would LOVE this for her birthday (primarily bought as a toy). Sadly, the horn was broken when it arrived. I had just enough time to re-order another one, hoping for the best, but, again, the horn was broken on the second one, as well. I had to return both items. I feel the packaging could definitely have been better with more protection around the head of the unicorn. Clearly, it was insufficient. The price was great but not if you get a damaged product each time. =/
