Will they still work even if they get wet from time to time?

Yes, if they get wet they will still work. I would not let the portal or track get wet due to the electronics, but if the car gets wet it should be fine. There’s a YouTube video of a person submerging their iD cars in a bowl of water and they still worked just the same after that. The reason for this is because there isn’t any electricity in the car itself, it’s merely a tag that contains some numbers that can be read by an electronic device such as the portal of a phone with an NFC reader. Yes it will! It just it more expensive because it has an ID on the bottom that you can add to your digital hot wheels track

are they compatible with android?

Yes, they even work when my phone is in it's case. I've even scanned them well there still in there box, it may take a few swipes but it still worked.

I’d say it looks very similar to the ‘93 Jeep. You might want to compare the Matchbox version which is similar, but slightly different.
