Thoroughly Check Your Set!
We just moved and decided to buy a new set. We specifically looked for 18/10 stainless steel sets that was tasteful and unique. We were ready to pay for quality and were thrilled that these were on sale. Still, it's more than we've ever paid for silverware.These look stunning in person, evoking thoughts of the underwater city of Atlantis...I would have REALLY loved these if they were a complete set. We were given 16 salad forks and no large spoons. It was a huge disappointment, since we are at an APO and our location makes it too much trouble to return them.Be sure to count every piece: It's supposed to be a full 5 piece setting for 8 people PLUS the 5 serving pieces. Also, thoroughly check for scratches. I found a few that I am really not happy about (especially on my master butter knife).Photos:1. My only full place setting (with the one big spoon).2. The serving pieces.3. Pieces with notable scuffs/ scratches on them.I cannot fully express my extreme disappointment, but I have to be fair. The product is worthy. It's just the poor quality control that let me down.
