Teen Titans: Beast Boy Paperback – Illustrated, 1 Sept. 2020

I got to say a very pleasant surprise. Beast Boy is not my favourite Teen Titan, I usually prefer the darker characters, but for me he has been an integral part of the team to balance out the darker characters. I read the introduction and it shos definitely how much Gabriel Picolo like Beast Boy.The story suited Gar perfectly. This is not an action packed superhero book. This is a story of Gar coming to terms with his life, dealing with normal things everyone does growing up. The discovering his powers is secondary. Great side characters as well. I have to say well done with Tank's story, as someone who had exactly the same thing during their school life, I am glad more awareness is being speard. I am sure many young people in school (who at the same age of the characters here) have to deal with thus.I am really looking forward to the next book. I did not realise how much of thus I read in a single sitting, it was such a page turner. Noting explosive just a very good story.

Really enjoyed reading this!! I didn’t really know much about Beast Boy so this was a nice intro to him. I relate to him so much with the self hatred and the people pleasing. I loved the art, the storyline and his friends! It also has great representation including POC; Black; Muslim - Hijabi; Disability - wheelchair; & amputee.TW/CW - Weight tracking; Medication; Negative weight talk; Self-deprecating jokes; Bullying; Medical content; Vomiting; Euthanasia (mentioned); Animal death (mentioned); Animal testing; Alcohol

For any Titans fan, or fan of Gar in general, this story will not disappoint. Amazing artwork, accompanied by an intriguing story. A must have! Here's hoping for more Gar in the future.

I love this book! I think it covers beast boys personality and genuinely carries it on from the original teen titans comics. Obviously there’s some differences as it’s set in the modern world and he’s not green but it’s just a fantastic book, really enjoyable :)

Came in good shape and a really good book

It was so intriguing it had funny moments and great foreshadowing as well as pull me in to the story amazingly with great side story’s that make the side and main characters love able

If you enjoyed Raven, Beast boy will definitely be up your alley. Picolo's artwork is beautiful and Garcia's storytelling is stellar. The characters and lovable, some familiar, some new. A must have for any teens titans fan.

Assim como Raven, é perfeito!! Traz a história do Gar quando ele descobre seus poderes, em meio a dramas adolescentes. A visão dele é muito realista, os amigos são maravilhosos, e a história é envolvente. Muito bom, recomendo.

I liked the Teen Titans: Raven book a lot, but I think Beast Boy's story is the best book by Kami Garcia and Gabriel Picolo at this point. The pictures are stunning and the story is moving and funny, with lots of important characterizations of Gar Logan (Beast Boy). Gar Logan is often underutilized by DC, and I'm thrilled as a long-time fan of the character to see him portrayed so well and with so much depth.

Amazing book! The story and artwork are soo good! Gabriel's attention to detail is truly spectacular! The quality of the book is excellent as well. It's got a nice, sturdy cover that doesn't scratch easily (my paper loving cat has tried) and smooth pages on the inside! Would recommend!
