waste of money
This book won't teach you anything about hacking.Subtitle reads: "A complete Step by step Guide to Learn the Fundamentals of cyber security, hacking and penetration testing" - well, this is false title. It should read: "DEFINITIONS of Fundamentals of cyber security, hacking and penetration testing".Yes, this book is full of it. Just definitions. First 50 pages contain just definitions. It feels like reading wikipedia articles, only less detailed. You will do better if you donate £10 to wikimedia foundation, owner of wikipedia, rather than buying this book. It will do more good.Next few pages explain how to install kali linux from an usb stick.Really? Everybody knows Rufus or Universal usb installer or the like. These instructions belong to another book: "Basic operations in Windows and Linux".The rest of the book describes metasploit framework, explains how to install it but doesn't say anything about how to use it.If I open a random youtube video about metasploit I will certainly learn more. The author mentions about existence of hundreds of hacking tools in Kali linux, but he fails to at least list them.If this book at least explained the purpose of each tool in just one short paragraph of text, then at least this book would be at least an index,a point of reference of further searches, but without it, this book is completely and utterly USELESS.The author either does not have any hacking experience or he is unwilling to share it.In either case the book is useless if your goal is to become a hacker or even if your goal is to learn something about hacking. Not sure what was author's motivation (other than make some money) when he wrote this book.I am surprised about so many positive reviews.I need to be more careful in the future and try not to be suggested by the reviews.A lesson for me.
