This is the worst product. I paid 100.00 for this! Bought it for my son for Christmas. You have to crank the handle to shave the ice, it takes forever! DO NOT WASTE YOUR MONEY!!

All my daughter wanted for Christmas was a smoothie maker. Grandparents got her this one. It has never worked. You have to put ice in it and turn a crank to "shave" the ice. We used ice from our freezer and got zero shavings. We bought ice at the gas station thinking it would be smaller, softer and somehow easier to shave. I got zero shavings. I stabbed the ice with a butter knife several times and got about a tablespoon of shavings- but I had to put an extreme amount of pressure on the crank. This thing is a huge disappointment to my daughter and a huge pain in the neck for me.
