XL Abdominal Slider/Exerciser

Purchased 3 of these items based on the 900 rep evaluation of reliability and long life given by a previous purchaser. Sorry to say that the item is poorly constructed and is inferior to the Ab Slide. The first issue centers around the "plastic" handles that come loose and slide towards the end of the retainer bar. The retainer bar protruding from the main body is only 1.75" long and are not sturdy. Additionally, I have used the item for less than 30 days and the springs have failed. Now I have a nice piece of junk that will reside in the trash when I go off business travel. I continue to use the item with the broken springs, since this exercise is the center of my abdominal exercise.

Slightly less quality than the last one I had. Either this is a knock-off or a close copy. Anyway, it works fine just construction is a little less durable.

I was pleased with this product. It arrived very quickly, and the price for the quality was very good, study construction and smooth glide.

I do 900 repitions with the ab slide per week--Mon, Wed, Fri. 300/day. How does the Glidemaster hold up? Well, I like the action. It is in the middle on resistence compared to other brands I've tried. I've found that the resistance springs in all the ab slides I've tried break after time. The Glidemaster offers about 3 monthes of life over the others. But I have only been thru one to date. I now have 2 more and time will tell. I also bought 1 Powertek XL ab slide but have no info to compare it with, except it has the most resistance of any I have used.

The concept works but the item is poorly constructed and assembled. Likely a quality control issue. The first time I used it, the spring got displaced. Instead of returning it for replacement, I took it apart and secured the spring correctly. Works fine now. My last one seem more sturdy as it lasted over 3 years. Same brand and design.

if I have the box I will return it. it hurt my back I couldn't used it. waste of money

When I use this I really feel it the next day. It seems to work better than some of my core/abs workout videos, even if I only do a few reps. When I use it I typically use it for 3 reps of ten while watching TV. It hurts my lower back, but I think that's because my back is shaped weird. It probably is fine if you straigthen your back properly and your back isn't shaped as mine.

Years ago, I had an abdominal roller, and it had resistance bands connecting the handles to underneath a knee rest. I have never been able to find a replacement for that product, as I could only find the wheel with the handles, no resistance bands at all. This has resistance springs inside, which do just as good a job as the bands! If you are looking for an incredibly intense ab workout, do NOT hesitate to purchase this thing!
