Mainstays Drawer Dresser, (6-Drawer, Nightfall Oak)

Wouldn’t say it’s a bad orchard but not horrible. Very in the middle.

This dresser took me roughly 8-10 hours to complete. Bathroom breaks & food breaks included lol. For the price you can’t beat it! There’s LOTS of pieces obviously because you have to install the whole dresser from scratch, aka frame and drawers. If you’re not “mechanically inclined” it may be more daunting of a task compared to someone who uses tools often and/or has put together furniture before.Pros: Sturdy (if put together correctly)! Drawers glide like butter. Directions are straightforward. Color is accurately depicted. Love the added anti-tipping feature kit for anyone who has kids that enjoy pulling on furniture.Cons: The brackets for the sides of the drawers are plastic & there is BARELY any room to screw the brackets down which is a major design flaw and could be improved. Shown in pictures ^

Nice color and fits good in the corner I have it in, but after a couple of weeks the bottom base of some of the drawers started to bend out of shape and my clothes would fall through the bottom. Ive tried to make it work but even the clothes that aren’t as heavy are still falling through the bottom and then the drawers get caught on the other pieces so now you can’t open it sometimes. Not to mention for one person, putting it together took hours. I don’t recommend this as it should be fixed for this issue.

I’ll start by saying that they ran out of the color I wanted, but promptly emailed me about that and offered a different color, which was nice because I’ve just moved and I really needed the dresser fast! So I appreciate that they kept me from delays.Now. I’m a 19 year old female, about average build, and i was able to assemble this by myself in about 4 hours. Assembly is easy, just extremely tedious. The holes didn’t line up exactly but they weren’t off enough to mess up the dresser.To the dresser itself, admittedly you can tell it’s not solid wood. It has a kind of plasticky feel to it? However, it does feel nice and sturdy, no wobbles at all.Now, for the negative, when I received this a piece was broken. It’s the piece that goes along the front of the dresser on the bottom. Since the piece isn’t exactly vital to the construction of the dresser, I didn’t email for a replacement so I can’t speak on the customer service. In addition to the broken piece, the front of one of the drawers has some cosmetic damage. Again though, since it doesn’t really effect the construction, I’m not too fussed and I won’t be asking for replacements. I had to mention it, however, to keep this review honest.Overall, I’m satisfied with this purchase. I feel it could be a little cheaper for the quality, but I feel it’s a good size and pretty sturdy. The dove grey color is actually quite lovely! For assembly I’d suggest a ratcheting screwdriver and a nice sturdy hammer, lord knows you’ll need them.

This product is easy to assemble but after I put it together it made the dresser looks like it’s made for a kids room. Not really any space in the drawers for my clothes. It made me a little upset to see that the room for the drawers were that small. I feel like the pictures on storage was kind of deceiving but I also blame myself for thinking it had more room.

Took me about 4-5 hours by myself to put this together. You dont need 2 people but it would DEFINITLY speed up the build. The handles looked metal but they are actual plastic. First dresser I've bought or built so I'm not sure of value of this but a lot of the wood is shredded mashed glued wood rather than the layered glued wood. It is surprisingly heavy with most of the dresser being thin. I imagine if you hit this with anything itll dent easily. The finish doesnt seem resistant to scratching so I recommend putting a thin cloth sheet of the sort on top. If you are looking for a strong dresser this is not the one. If you are a responsible adult with no kids and looking for a cheap dresser then this will be fine. One thing that bugged me is it doesn't have legs. The wood of the dresser just comes straight down and makes contact with the floor making it easily damage if you were to slide it as well and damaging your floor if you have a wood floor. The drawers do come out very smooth and aren't very long but they are fairly deep. Also they do not pull out far enough. You have to bend over to see the back of the drawer. The black does look great and there were no damages to the dresser do to shipping. Overall I'm happy with it. Well I have to be. No way am I going to take it apart to return it.
