And this disc has the 4k restoration of the Directors Cut and including bunch of special features. Great actors and Actresses Peter Weller, Nancy Allen & Ronny Cox. I was about 13, my mom wouldn't take me to see it at the theater, but I did see it on VHS at my uncle's house about a year later. I didn't really understand movies back then the way I do now, but now I review movies for YouTube, and in my adult life I notice that this movie has so many more layers that I never noticed until I got older. Part political satire, part sci-fi/action/horror, part psychological thriller about a man investigating his own death. I could go on about how this became my favorite movie of all time. Instead let me tell you why this Disc impresses me so much. I love Robocop so much, that I've found myself buying multiple copies of it over the years from VHS, to DVD, to Blu-ray. Blu-ray was probably the toughest Hill to climb. The DVD collection had a pretty nice print, but once it hit Blu-ray, it was a pretty ugly looking bare bones transfer of the VHS copy. The film was really grainy and the sound was awful. Then in 2014, they released the director's cut which looked really good, bit the sound was just okay. The special featured however were awesome. This is my first arrow release, and I am so happy to say that THIS is the Blu-ray you want, if you LOVE this movie as much as I do. Even though the disc does not really make this clear, the scan IS AT 4K, and it doesn't look artificial or digitally enhanced. Just a very sharp clean and crisp representation of the movie in full wide-screen. I've wanted this version for years! Even better, is that arrow has a reversible sleeve, so you can flip over to the original movie poster if you want. One thing that's bugged me about the Blu-ray generation is the dozens of bad photoshopped covers they keep making for old movies. The one Arrow made, looks really really great, bit since this movie is also a massive nostalgia trip for me, I also love keeping the original poster art in tact. Ad far as sound, we have DTS HD 5.1 which sounds really great with a good surround system or a good pair of headphones which is what I use. I'm not going to list ALL of the special features, because this listing already tells you that. However, it DID take me 2 days to finish going through all of the extras. All of the extras from the 2014 release are present, PLUS all of the Arrow features which seems to ad about 60% more than what was previously offered. I'm happy to say everyone involved with the release of this film loved it just as much as I did when I was growing up.
