I wish I had amazon on my phone so I could easily upload pictures, but as of now I don't so I apologize if my uploads are sideways or hard to see. I am a get and forget person - low maintenance is for me. I love these because they are super easy to install and look great. **FYI I ordered the largest amount and there were NOT enough screws sent, but easy fix because we had many sizes in our garage** I did make a few modifications that my husband or other professionals might roll their eyes at but alas can't take the jimmyrigging out of me. I have a 3 1/2" post and these fit with extra room - down side is the base is plastic, so when my son and I installed the first one with an electric screwdriver, it bent the sides in and my teen said it looked janky. I liked the fact that the globe was glass and the rest was plastic because I figured I would not have to worry about rust, and could easily repaint if I ever notice fading. So I ended up using my creative jimmyrigging side and made modifications to look less janky. Instead of screwing into the two sides of the base plate, I used the two screws to screw down the top face of the base plate. I did this after testing that the screws would not interfer with the lamp attaching to the base plate. After doing that, it did leave two open holes on either side of the base plate so (another jimmyrig special) - I super glued two black plastic bb pellets on either side to cover the holes. Use what you have, and that is what I had. Also, in full disclosure I ended up not having enough super glue and so I used extra strength fast setting nail glue that I had on hand. Easier route: do the gluing BEFORE installing the base plate on the post - I of course had already screwed all the base plates in place and then came up with my bb idea and so I kept supergluing my fingers together because the bb's are so small. End result is that they look supercute and nobody (including my husband) could tell they were not originally like that. One note on the glass globe - I did knock one off after trying to cover the patio furniture and not realizing I had caught a lamp and tugged hard and it pulled the top lantern part right off the base plate and shattered into a million shards onto the bottom deck. Would this have happened if the screws were not on the top part - I don't know. In otherwords, I'm not sure if screwing on the top lessens the grip of the lantern to the base plate (eye rolls from some I am sure). Other notes - These charge nicely and I do not get a long stream of direct sunlight on our wooded back deck, also the top of the globe collects water after rain but it seems to be water tight and has not been an issue as they dry on their own without me needing to wipe anything down. My husband did recommend that I order additional ones for replacement if ever needed and in case next year they are not available in this particular style - this of course came in handy after the shattering incident. I have not owned these for very long, and will try to remember to update after a winter and snow etc.

These lights are very nice. You can have a soft light or a bright light. One came broken.

These lights are super easy to install, work well, even without 8 hours of sunlight. They are very nice looking. They give off nice light, not super bright, but pretty bright. I will buy again. A bit pricey, but everything is.

They are beautiful on our new front porch posts. It gives plenty of light. Worth the price. We have 6x6 posts and had to go with a little longer screws because of the cut they made. But we love the look.

While this IS an attractive light, we had a difficult time figuring out how to turn it on. It is necessary to slightly rotate the top (above the glass) in order to find the switch. The top does come off and replace easily, once you figure it out. As others have noted, the light is not especially bright. In our case this is not a major issue, but if you are looking for a security light or good pathway light, this isn’t it. We just needed something to replace an older worn out light (that also was not bright) and this is a more attractive light. It fits perfectly on the 3.5” post, which is only 2’ high, and was much easier to install than the effort that would have been necessary to remove the post. The pre-drilled holes made installing the provided screws simple, after drilling holes in our post. It IS a shame that the base, frame, and top are plastic, because the glass is nice. Were the light brighter, we might have rated it higher, but it serves our limited needs. Time will tell whether this is sturdy or long-lived. We have not checked how long the light lasts after dark. It is installed in a location that is shady all afternoon, so we do not expect a long night time performance.
