The EC Comics Slipcase Volume 2 (The EC Comics Library) Hardcover – April 7, 2015

Already read the Johnny Craig book. Felt it was a great value for the set. Bought a bit under the suggested price of a hundred dollars and this set is great for a person who loves EC comics.This company was controversial when it published comics in the fifties. There were meetings in congress that resulted in the comic code authority being developed.What I like about this set is that each volume is dedicated to one specific artist. There is a note in the first book I read that this wasn't all that Johnny Craig produced while at EC comics.This company has been very influential to Stephen King and others in the macabre world of horror. Creepshow was inspired by this company.Perfect gift for an EC lover. My friend gave me a gift certificate to Amazon for helping w my recovery from surgery and I was very happy to buy this set w much of the certificate.I found that they do sell the books individually. Some have complained that these are in black and white. To be honest we you I like them this way and that doesn't bother me.Since they sell them individually for someone who only likes a particular artist I would recommend buying individually. I like all of them and got a price break by buying the set. It really is a bargain price if you consider how much the originals cost now. By considering this black and white set you would have the ability to focus on a particular illustrator if you only like particular artists.I frankly like them all. Trivia if you don't know why they are called EC comics EC originally stood for educational comics. 😉

Great works of art!! I can just sit back and admire all the amazing inks done by the masters. Some people say that they wish it was in colorbut i enjoy it in B & W.
