Or don't bother at all There are 7 updates over the last 4 years Needed to add a sub to my small garage speaker set up Started at a 1 start review. 6 months later I'll gladly give it a 5 *Amp failed day 1. ON THE FIRST AND 2ED SUB But customer service was grate and they took care of it. Right away *update 2 Got a new amp. And this thing HITS. Much to my surprise, it hits and it hits clean and hard. For the price I'm not complaining. *NOTE* DO NOT TURN UP OVER 70% IT WILL CLIP AND YOUR GOING TO HAVE A BAD DAY. I'm running right around 65% of "MAX" AND ITS GRATE BE *SMART WITH YOUR SETTINGS AND DONT GO FULL POTATO .🥔 Your not going to shatter a windown but dam sure will rattle the neighbors windows The noise complaint came 10 min after I installed it... Will update as use continues! And monitor life of replacement Amp. ** 3erd update Been 4 months on replacement amp Still hitting hard. Did pick up a small rattle from the grill , and the amp mount. The screws came loose will most likely replacement all screws to insert retainers at some point, but just stepping up the screw size did the trick for now with a little wood glue added to threads *4TH UPDATE. 15-OCT-22 GOT THE 2ED SUB, AMP WAS DOA * WAITING ON REPLACEMENT AMP. 5th update, got replacement amp and hits good no issue 6th Update 15 June 23 Added a 3erd. And all still hitting strong . 7th update 20 Nov 24 All 3 of my original are still going strong I picked up the NEW* 18 and it out hits all 3 This is still a grate sub for a small system But I highly recommend looking at the new 18 CUSTOM SERVICES IS OUTSTANDING

Rush buy this Sub It’s really good . I tested a pair with 2 top double 15’ jbl. I was shocked. It was explosive , I shook the ground . It was a large ceremony about 250 people . Guess just bought a third one I love how they sound. Just make sure you put both level at half .

From a low-end perspective this sub was a shocker. I have another 18 inch sub by an old manufacturer that does ok, but not great. This one hit the lows very strong, to the point of it being odd for the price. Not 20's but somewhere around mid 30's to low 40's. The issue comes into play as you head up toward the crossover point. I didn't whip out any mics or meters, so I'm guessing, but it seems like 65hz is when it starts to fall apart, and then becomes an audible mess at around 80 or 90. Unfortunately I don't have tops that could make up the difference. So for supplemental low end bass these are for you. But to run them with some tops on a pole make sure you have tops that can run down to 65-70hz without blowing. I mean these are certainly not "8004's", but to get a young DJ on a budget started with small venue/back yard gigs these will get you by. ...and at this price point that's what I would say these are intended to do. But I have to say, if Proreck puts another $100 behind their woofer cost and adds it to the price, they would create some tears in the JBL boardroom. I'd certainly think hard about ordering 2 or 4 of them.

I absolutely have loved these subs and have been using them for 3 years, I bought an extra just in case they go out of stock! I am a mobile DJ for weddings and school events! I have to travel and move these every week! They are super lightweight and easy to move! The size is still pretty big and holds against other name brand subwoofers. I’ve used ALTO subs before and I would say the volume and clarity are comparable! This is the best sub for the price! I highly recommend getting it! Just one is enough for 2 tops!

sounds good but bass not as loud as i thought it would be i feel an 18 should hit harder but not bad for price i guess

I purchased 1 18 in powered sub for my garage parties. It's a 4 car garage and the bass is great for me. I read the reviews and made sure to not push the sub to clipping a lot or sustained clipping. That will damage most any speaker. You may want 2 or 4 if youre hip-hop heavy and looking for that deep chest punching bass, but it works great for me. The built in crossover is protecting my loud speakers from damage from pushing them with bass to hard. I'm very happy with this sub. After 2 years I'm still happy. I think not allowing this to clip much has sustained it's life. Still using this in my 600 sq foot garage with 2 2000 watt full range loud speakers. Great for garage band and karaoke parties.

From May 26, 2022: Well, the replacement plate amp they sent just went bad. It's defective, exactly as the first one was. Worked for awhile, then suddenly, Not Working. I am very upset and almost out of their 1 year warranty. With 2 going bad within 9 months, I would like my money back... From Jan 2022: My initial experience with Proreck was positive, when back in August, they honored a special deal that I had discovered, (by now expired) and so, after reading the reviews and looking high and low for another Pro-Audio (Active, Class-D, xlr inputs/outputs, Low pass filter for PA uppers) I ordered the sub for my home stereo system. I had a little noise and hum initially, but I already had a ground loop isolator (passive) and that took care of that. I have never pushed this thing hard, its in my family room, and there's no need. This Sub worked awesome, delivering a tight, crisp DEEP low end punch, and nicely controlled by the output level and adjustable cut-off.... until yesterday. I turned it on, as usual, and was shocked to get a pulsing noise. A very awful and annoying noise. Strangely, according to a local speaker tech I spoke with, the amp still powers on, and will allow signal to pass thru to the uppers, which doesn't happen if the amp is dead or powered off. But THAT was a nightmare. It's definitely got a major issue, because I couldn't stand to hear the Low-End Rattling "Bass" along with my uppers. So, I'm hoping and praying that Proreck takes care of me and honors the warranty. I contacted Amazon who informed me to contact the Manufacturer. I tried and tried to located a phone number, between their Amazon Store, website and Facebook, but no luck. So I'm waiting for an email. If they can make this right, I will be 100% satisfied, as long as they can also maybe give some idea as to why this happened... Either the internal power supply (most likely) or the amp itself has failed. The Speaker tech said that these "Switching" type of power supplies and Class-D amp circuitry is so complex, that to try and diagnose, troubleshoot and repair, would be double what it costs, quite possibly, and so that is not an option.

Well it’s loud and you feel the bass on the legs so just love it can’t wait to get my 2nd one soon

Great base bin powerful, light weighted and nicely built, shipping was very fast i got product within 1.5 days of buying along with great on your pockets compared to high end subs, reason for 4 star rating is the cons which are rear plate does have a raddling nosie when playing at 70-80% feq, pole mount needs rubber insert. Overall great sub planing on getting second one, ill post vid of how it sounds when i get time.

Really like the subwoofer ordered 2 unfortunately only one came the seller was really good about it and are sending me a refund once that processes I will be ordering a second one
