Great for kids, sturdiness could improve though!
Bought these for my kids who wanted to see how petri dishes worked. I was happy with how efficient they worked and how they were well packaged. However, the plastic is very wonky and cheap. For a kids purpose it's ok! I don't think they are worth the price, but for 10 of them I suppose it was an ok learning experience.

Easy to use!
I bought these for my son science, fair project, and they worked great! Very easy to use. This included a booklet with easy to follow directions plus ideas for experiments. It also included sterile, Q-tips, and other items you would need to carry out some experiments. We did not have an incubator or heat source to use with these and we were still able to grow bacteria.

Product arrived in a terrible state!!! I had to scoop out the agar and repour the plates!
The 30 plates I ordered arrived and all were in some state of semi gel. None were usable and much of the agar had melted to a liquid form. I had to scoop the agar out of the 30 plates that I had ordered, melt it again and repour the plates! What a waste of my almost $80 I spent on lab materials for my students! Very, very disappointed!

Accomplished the Goal
One of the plates arrived broken and they all had condensation. We attempted our experiment as planned. It was a slight bummer they weren’t individually wrapped, so we would have to find ten uses all at once (when we initially only needed three). The guidebook was super informative and helped my Kiddo truly understand what she was going to conduct.i will update thebreview

Such a cool kit!
I did this as a child and won second place in the science fair at school. As I was telling my kiddo about the story, she was so intrigued, that I just had to order this and do it with her. She loves science so much and her mind was blown when things started to grow in the petri dishes. We swabbed the tv remote, her Nintendo and even her mouth! I was honestly shocked that the most growth came from a swab we took of her arm pit! Lol, gross, but bacteria is everywhere after all. Super fun but have patience as they’re growing. We kept ours in the garage inside of a closed box. It’s hot out there and dark, so it was perfect for bacterial growth. We also used hand sanitizer to see if it’ll kill any of the bacteria, and to our surprise, it didn’t do much. So, my consensus was that hand sanitizer doesn’t do much in the ways of killing bacteria, but all around, was very fun for me and my kiddo!

These worked perfectly for my Freshman Biology class!
The media could not be loaded. The product arrived perfectly packaged and per instruction I put them in a fridge until the day we were going to use them. None of our dishes were cracked or damaged in any way. The supplies were spot on and the experiment idea book was perfect as well. My students swabbed various parts of our school and left one quadrant unswabbed as a control. We placed them in a dark closet under a reptile heat lamp that stayed between 80-95 degrees F. On Day 2 there were a few dishes with a little bit of growth, but on Day 5 we were able to really see all the bacteria flourishing! The students were equally amazed and grossed out. Perfect!

My daughter loves it!
Teaching my 6 years old science atm and this was the perfect gift for her! It even comes with a little book! Still have plenty left, we can't wait to use them :)

Very interesting to see the bacteria grow.
Very interesting to see the bacteria grow.Don't keep them for too long though.I kept some of the gels for more than 2 months, and some white mold began to grow on the agar of the unused dished.Other than that, I think it is great experience for kids and adults alike as an educational hobby.
