Relatively straightforward to install on a bay window as it is a good quality, flexible track. Wise to purchase extra accessories (gliders, hooks etc. to complement those supplied).

We have a rectangular bay window - for nearly five years, we've struggled with no less than four different curtain rails. We tried a pole with 90 degree corners (the rings got stuck), a flat strip with clips (the clips got stuck) and the IKEA VIDGA rail with "gliders" (the gliders did not glide at all). This rail solves the problem easily with a track and little wheels on the gliders (an idea IKEA apparently couldn't come up with). It just works. The gliders go smoothly around the corner like you'd expect and glide on effortlessly. It was easy enough to cut to size with a jigsaw, although a hacksaw would probably work too. Bending it to shape was easy enough to do by hand. I don't know if you'd really need to resort to a hairdryer or anything as the metal core is pretty easy to bend even when cold. I clamped it into a workbench to try to straighten it perfectly, but once it's installed the fixing clips keep it straight anyway. It comes with clips to fix to the ceiling which are simple and effective with a spring-loaded clasp that the rail just pops into. Very much recommended if you are having similar struggles with a bay window.

We have no space to install track to the wall so had to ceiling mount. This system is really easy to install and the curtains glide along it so easily. We have a very wide bay window which needs 3 curtains so we ran out of hooks/glides but Urbanred were very quick to respond to our email and sent us some more free of charge. Great product, great service!

This product is really sturdy. I used heavy objects to straighten the rail and left it for 3 days. Only because that was when my husband to put it up. It would of been ok after a day I think. When we where rrafy to put it up it had a natural curve so we used that for my bay window. I contacted the seller as I needed some wall fixings, and the lady was so helpful.Easy to install clips into the bracket really easy.

Bought this curtain track for a bay window. Was slightly concerned about it being poor quality but I found it better than I expected. Easy to install though I used some plasterboard plugs instead of the supplied fixings. Item description said it was for light to medium weight curtains. I have used some fairly heavy velvetesque lined curtains, they hang perfectly without bending the track and the sliders perform better than expected along the track.

Aesthetically it's not great to look at so not sure if I will keep it long term, maybe I'll get used to it!? I was hoping for something less intrusive as my bathroom is small. The plastic track is off white so doesn't blend in with the ceiling as I'd hoped. Bending the track causes waves which is not ideal if you're looking for a stylish finish. It's a 2 person job to install. The track is hard to manipulate without causing lots of waves in the plastic and the end pieces are rock hard and I couldn't get them on myself. Once the track is snapped into the fittings it's extremely hard to get off again as there's not enough space for leverage being so close to ceiling. Trying to get track off again damages the track edges but doesn't affect functionality. After it was fitted I found a bit of plastic in the bag and I'm not sure if this was supposed to help get the track off again or if it's just a bit of random plastic, nothing in instructions? It would be good to know (see photo). I didn't find the instruction video particularly helpful as it didn't actually show someone installing the track, I wonder why!

The secret of success with this track was to follow the instructuons. With a little help from some friends I weighted the track down overnight and was able to then cut it to length and easily fitted it to my three sided bay window. Very neat and runs really smooth. A really good product at a really good price.

Super hard to install if you’re on your own.. need a hand to hold it up, a hand to push back the clip, another hand to uncurl the rest of it and another pair of arms to hold it up. BUT ohhh it’s so smooth and fits where ever you need it to be. Didn’t come with enough screws or wall plugs but I had some spare laying around.
