A winner, hands down!
I looked at my old lock, noted the manufacturer (Trek) and then set out to find it at my local Trek store. Low and behold, no combo lock that I had bought years before and the ones they did have did not meet my quality of my past combo lock. Enter Kinetiplex combo! I saw this lock and the first thing I noticed was, "Gee, this looks awfully like my old lock!". I ordered 2 on the spot. Upon delivery, the integrity of a quality lock was there but this lock went once step better, a fifth number in the combination! Instructions were easy to understand and follow. It's a breeze to set your own unique 5 digit code. I personally never use a lock holder on my bikes, rather just attach the lock to my bicycle rack on the back of the bike. A winner, hands down.

The first lock that I ordered after following the directions to the letter, became jammed for some reason. I sent an email to Kinetiplex via Amazon and quite expeditiously, I received an email detailing that a new lock would be delivered to me via two-day mail. . . and it was! I am very satisfied with the customer service that I received as well my new lock - which, by-the-way, has already been put to work. Thank you!

Adequate, but won't easily stay coiled
Works well. Won't stay coiled unless you're very fussy about how you coil it. As a result, it's always rubbing against my legs while I pedal.

Poor quality.
Have not even used it yet, set the code and it would not open. The L side plastic sleeve slides down cable, but lock will not release. Just useless.

This bike lock is just what I was looking for. It is very easy to set. I like the fact that I can change the setting easily, if I need to.

Get what you pay for!
Crap ! No good it fell apart the first time I tried to set the code on it . The cord and the metal part that goes in to the lock look okay but everything else is breakable plastic . You might not be able to cut or saw it off but you can pull it apart . I'm just glad this happen before I took my bike out to my San Francisco street. No good , don't listen to all that bla, bla, bla talk about how good this item is . Not true.
