I like the packaging and the product
I like the packaging and the product. The ginseng flavor is very strong. I find one bag is good enough for a pot of tea for me but a bit much for 1 cup of tea; however, my husband drinks 1 bag per cup and seems to like it. Also, I couldn't find any directions to indicate water temperature or steeping time which I kind of like because I know herbal teas can be different from black and green teas.

Packaging was great and arrived in a flat box with individually sealed tea bags. Very earthy tasting and smelling. It wasn't what I expected. Not bad but just a different tasting herbal tea. I guess it's the ginseng, but caused a headache. I was used to drinking Ginseng mixed with green tea, so maybe that was the difference. I will use this and add another type of tea.

Love it!
This is the first time I try this brand. The fragrance and taste are both great. American ginseng is different from the traditional ginseng found along the northern part of China or on the mountains in Korea. It has its own special fragrance and taste. It's used for slightly different medicinal uses comparing to traditional ginseng. The nature of American ginseng is milder and is suitable for most elderly, whereas traditional ginseng must be prescribed by a Chinese medicine doctor after the elderly has been assessed for suitability.American ginseng is great for people who have allergy, too. I used to cough a lot during the extremely dry winter days. One of my friends told me to drink American ginseng with honey. I thought it was only an herbal tea, why not. So I started drinking it every other day or at least weekly. The tea didn't cure my dry throat or coughing immediately, but I realized I coughed less and felt healthier all over gradually, so now it has become one of my pantry staples especially in winter. (Note: American ginseng teabags are not meant for replacing your regular tea. If you can't stand anything herbal, it might not be for you, as its fragrance and taste are quite strong comparing to the herbal tea we find in the market such as chamomile tea...)

Mmmm Mmmm good. Good quality
Mmmm Mmmm good. Good quality. Good taste. I gave one package to my friend, and she likes it a lot.--Updated from here --After brewing one cup, I added more water for another helping. It still tastes good. Then I open the bag and dump all the left into any soup I make because I don't want to waste any bit of it. I am from Korea where ginseng is very popular but still is very expensive and precious. I thought only Korean ginseng was good, but I can tell you this Wisconsin Ginseng is perfect. It gives me energy, good sleep, and somehow reduces snoring that I have had life time. My own snoring wakes me up so often. Having good sleep is almost impossible every night. After dinner I brush teeth, and drink a cup of ginseng tea as if I coat my tonsils and throat. My husband says he couldn't hear me snoring the nights I drink this tea. I have tried this trick only a few nights. The tea makes me go to bathroom more often at night, but I don't mind it at all because it is better than snoring and being chocked every night. I will post more update if it consistently helps me from snoring.

Oh no!
Unavailable? Bummer. I really liked this and the packaging was nice. It's probably not to a lot of people's liking but I enjoy it. My great-grandfather used to hunt for ginseng in the Appalachian mountains and made tea out of it and lived to nearly 100. I can't say it was the ginseng per se, since he got a lot of physical exercise climbing and walking through the mountains, but we were raised with ginseng as an almost sacred plant that remains part of our culture to this day. Drinking this reminds me of my great-grandfather and the beautiful mountains in which he spent his days. I'd like to think it has some medicinal value, but even if it doesn't, it warms my body and soul to drink.

Tastes like dirt!
Purchased for my spouse, who has drank ginseng tea for 40 yrs.....he told me to dump his cup out it was so bad. I of course thought it couldn't be THAT bad,....it was. dumped it and never looked back.....trying to find a creative way to get rid of the other bags of ginseng roots.....maybe I could put them in a fancy tea cup and give them as a gift to someone I'm not fond of.

Ginseng is healthy for you!
Pay no attention to the 1 star nay-sayers. They are basing it on taste alone. Did they even try it, or try mixing it with a flavored tea? I heard of the health benefits of ginseng, so I purchased some of this tea. Yes, it smells faintly like dirt and/or roots, but I mix it with my apple and cinnamon celestial season tea, and it tastes fine. I purchased American and Korean from Amazon. I also started drinking green tea as well. I go for the decaffeinated teas. I have also started other herbal supplements that promote calm, clarity, focus, and other health benefits. I started them all at the same time, so I can't say how this particular product actually makes me feel. But, I've had no bad reactions and I can cover up the taste. Sometimes when I don't feel like tea, I put it into my coffe. I will most likely be continuing to drink it indefinitely.

Pure !!
My daughter loves this! It is not a tea for people who like sweet teas, definitly very earthy. My daughter actually calls it her dirt tea because it tends to smell like dirt and even taste a bit like dirt at first. She adds ginger honey to hers and once she got adjusted to the taste she now craves it! I love that it is 100% ginseng. Look at the ingredients list of some of the other ginseng teas out there, many of them have so many additives to it, with the actual ginseng being last on the list! Will continue to order this, just wish it was a little less pricey.
