I LOVE them! There is a switch for on, or fading and timer. I really like the fade and was tricked because it is also a timer that turns them off, but also on. So cool!

Beautiful and whimsical
I would've given this five stars, however, the bottom part on one of trees came off on about the third time turning it off/on using the bottom switch. I glued it back on and seems okay now. Knowing that, I would have purchased them anyway if I had to do it again. They are really beautiful and light completely from bottom to top.
