Easy, Healthy Snacks Await
After a week of hosting friends and evening tv time, I think this is definitely a buy (recognizing some limitations). Here is my take:Pros: - Collapsable for easy storage - Easily cleaned in the dishwasher or just rinsing with soap & water - The picture tells the truth; there is no whiteness in the silicone when pinched - Handles for easy carrying while hot - Lid prevents escaping kernels - Interior lines make it easy to measure the right amount of kernels - no need for a separate measuring cup - Can make enough popcorn to comfortably keep 2 people going through several episodes of The Office - Makes great, healthy popcorn!Cons: - Bowl itself is probably durable, but is structurally flimsy. With its small base and collapsable nature, I can foresee (but haven't yet experienced) a Great Popcorn Escape if handled too carelessly - The lid doesn't clip onto the top, but rather just sort of sits inside the bowl. Functionally it's fine, but aesthetically isn't great - In the 'test phase' of getting the microwave timing right, I overdid it so now my lid is somewhat browned - Can't get 100% kernel popping (but who expects that, anyway?)

Works great!
Easy to clean. Easy to use. No funny smell. No funny taste. Some kernels don’t pop but not too many of them.

Makes great popcorn
Easy to use, clean, and store. Makes exceptional popcorn.Update I purchased this Feb 2020 and it's now Dec 2020 and this has made countless quantities of popcorn and it still looks new and the popcorn, as long as it's fresh, comes out great.I use the following to make top notch popcorn:Franklin’s Gourmet Popcorn Butter Flavored Coconut Oil - 30 oz. Tub - Top Rated, Delicious, Healthy, Zero Trans Fat - Gluten Free/Vegan & NO Junky Ingredients - Best Movie Theater Taste – Made in USADutchman's White Popcorn: Medium Popcorn Kernels for Popping in Microwave, Air Popper, Stovetop - Non GMO and Gluten Free Gourmet Popping CornThe Spice Lab Himalayan Salt - Super Fine 1 Kilo (2.2 Lbs)Use lots of the butter stuff but the salt is very salty start with about a 1/3 of a tsp and then change to suit your taste. You'll love this popcorn.

THE BEST DECISION EVER!
Stir 1 Tbs of a avocado oil into 1/3 cup of popcorn in this bowl and pop it into the microwave for 2 1/2 minutes. Perfect popcorn every single time. I also use 1Tbs of bacon fat to 1/3 cup of popcorn and it gives it a yummy porky flavor. I’ve made different flavors of popcorn using a light dusting of onion powder or maybe garlic powder. (I found that garlic salt is too salty) Try melting 2Tbs Of real butter and a light dusting of nutritional yeast.. just so many options. My popcorn tastes air popped and I can use less oil than in a frying pan. DO NOT USE SOAP TO CLEAN! I did it once and I had to wash it twice to get the soapy smell/taste out of it. Now it’s super easy to wash. Just use hot water and wipe clean. It folds away for easy storage. So if this wasn’t enough to convince you to get it, DID YOU KNOW, that commercial made microwave popcorn has plastics line the paper bag that will heat up and leach into that fake butter sauce? It will clog up your liver and your body can’t digest it. So it ends up stored in your fat tissues and takes years to get out of your system. Don’t buy commercial bagged microwave popcorn. This bowl will be a game changer at movie nite. I promise, if it isn’t then there is something wrong with you!

Super easy and fast.
I love this popper. I don’t have to use oil if I don’t want to, almost every kernel popped, very easy to clean, and it collapses for storage so it can be stored in a drawer. I’d recommend this to everyone.

Not for me…
I ordered this because I have limited room in the camper I live in and it received good reviews. However, the first time using it, my popcorn was too burnt to eat. I waited until “most” of the kernels popped and “popping” slowed down as you normally would. I just used it again tonight for the second time. I stopped microwaving much sooner when I started sniffing a little of that burnt smell. As you can see by the picture, there are hardly any black hulls that burned this time… but it definitely did not pop all my kernels leaving a lot of unpopped ones in the bottom of the bowl. I was trying to be careful that it did not burn again! Only used a 1/2 cup of kernels and mixed well with the avocado oil. What a waste! I just don’t have room to store an electric popcorn maker, so I guess I’ll go back to the old fashioned way of popping it in a pot on the stove. Waste of money and kernels.

Love this air popper
I purchased this popper a few weeks ago and finally used it last night. I used no oil, butter, etc. Just added a half cup of kernels. 3 1/2 minutes later I had wonderful, fluffy popcorn spilling out the top of it. It passes the BPA test. No white showing when you fold it over. It is relatively sturdy. The handles were not hot for me. The measuring spoons were a nice touch. Not very strong, they can bend easily, but nice. You can also add just 1/4th cup that will give plenty of popcorn for 2 people. I had to throw some away as it made too much!! The only downsides are the lid is pretty flimsy. I do not see it lasting for a long time and their was at least 2 TBSP of kernels in the bottom when I used 1/2 cup. I did repop it to see if the kernels would pop and they did, but were not as fluffy. My bf put butter on his popcorn and melted it with the popcorn for a few seconds in the microwave. I ate mine plain. I would definitely buy this again.

Never buying microwave popcorn bags again
My wife bought one to test at home. It works fantastic. Easiest thing to use and super easy to clean and store. You can use oils and butter while popping, or, just buy the butter spray and movie butter popcorn salt and do it all afterward.I ended up buying mine for work so I could make up a healthier snack option.Bonus: collapses good to take to the movie theater! Shake up the popcorn, butter, and salt easier than the stupid bags they use
