One of my favorite mugs in my collection 💚

Cup heat sensitive battery image falling off after wash and only exists on one side.
I had another cup like this and unfortunately it got broke. So I ordered this one which arrived a few weeks ago. To my surprise, this cup only had the heat sensitive battery image on one side. My previous cup had it on both sides. My old cup was probably 10 years old or older. This cup is about 3 weeks old and the battery image is now falling apart. I did was it in the dishwasher for the first time and it did not survive. The battery image outline, which is white came apart and then reglued itself to the cup in a jagged pattern. At first I did not realize what the white jagged line was and started to scrape it off with my fingernail. Anyway, if a cup cant stand a dishwasher, it's not worth much. Do not recommend.

Best implementation I've seen for a color change mug.
The mug is a well made ceramic material with green bars that become visible when a hot liquid is poured into the mug. The recipient of this is an electronics enthusiast and I thought that the battery graphic would be appropriate. It did and he (or one of his sons) has used it daily since receiving it. Like all such temperature sensitive mugs, this one must hand washed and that could be a problem at some point. By the way, I own one just like it that is several years old and it still works fine.

if it can’t handle the heat it doesn’t belong in your kitchen
I wouldn’t order this item again or at all if I knew that it most definitely isn’t dishwasher safe. the battery color changing image is just a sticker. it will absolutely peal off! I gave it 2 stars because in the end it is going to be a plain black coffee mug so it will function for that purpose. kinda pricey for a cheap sticker that can’t handle heat and liquid. ironic for a coffee mug…

Decal came off
I love the idea of the heat sensing graphic on the side and it worked pretty well but then it started to wear off and finally peeled at the corners. This occurred in less than a month.

What fun it is to watch a picture light up on you mug. Battery charging and then running down low as it cools again 👍😁
