Stand tall and proud.
The value, intention, comfort, quality, good looks, integrity and prestige can be found in these boots. I stand tall and proud when wearing them. Rockport should stand tall and proud for making such a boot as these. Genuine Rockports.

I Love These… Mostly
I put these on and they fit my feet perfectly right out of the box and were already comfortable to wear. They can definitely go through several inches of water and keep your feet dry. I brush them every time before I wear them and keep shoe trees in them, and sometimes wipe them with a damp rag if they are really dirty. They are good on slick surfaces. The only downside is that evidently I walk on my heels somewhat and after only 3 1/2 months the heels are badly worn. I have already ordered another identical pair to replace these. Hopefully the ones I ordered Work just as well as these do. Only wish the heels would last longer because everything else has held up well on the shoe. By the way, these shoes are used mostly for walking on concrete in a Third World country with plenty of foot hazards. I probably walk 5 miles a week in these.

Simple and sturdy.
These feel really well against my feet. The length from the ball to the toe is a bit too long for me so I would recommend going a size down. The width is perfect. The arch support is fine. Just be aware that it does go just above the ankle.

New Favorite Work Shoe
I don't do reviews much, but these boots really helped me (I'm on my second pair) and they might help you too. They're not as tough as a construction boot and they are not a substitute for them, but that is fine. They're an everyday work boot that is built well and are thoroughly impressive in every way.The big attraction is the insole. They support your foot evenly and it shows over time in the wear pattern on the bottom. I've tried a hundred boots and what ends up happening is the insole material collapses relatively quickly and unevenly, and your foot is no longer parallel to the ground. This causes joint pain, particularly in the knees, and I have to wonder how many people live with this and associate it with age or injury, and never consider their shoes may be causing the problem? (Memory foam and other materials are particularly good for this.)While it sounds uncomfortable, the best part about these boots is a firm insole that doesn't collapse. It maintains its shape and provides superior support througout the life of the boot. This is the first pair of boots I ever owned that were worn out, across the sole and worn completely evenly, before problems like this began to occur. The laces and eyelets are of good quality and lasted the lift of the boot. (Although they would come off easier with round laces.) Comfort is excellent. Water repellent qualities are good, They're stylish, if you're into that. You can get them from Amazon in wide sizes you will never, ever find on a shelf anywhere.I am very, very happy with these boots and as long as Rockport doesn't screw with them in some fundamental way and mess them up, I'll probably continue to purchase them forever. If you are noticing knee pain or other joint issues from walking or climbing? Check your shoes! Maybe try a pair of these.I hope this helps someone.

Rockport makes a quality shoe
I've been a Rockport fan for years as I've owned a few pairs of their shoes. They've lasted me years and fit/feel great.Wasn't keen on the recent high prices but...it's the current trend. Ordered a pair of these black "shoe boots" to wear when I ride the motorcycle to work. I wear khaki's so I wanted a durable motorcycle shoe, while also something moderately fashionable. These boots appear to be very well made. They have a soft sheen to them, meaning not too shiny but not too bare looking. Not sure how "waterproof" they are as I have not ridden through rain with them. They do have more of a rounded front/toe, which does hinder it's "business shoe" look. But they are still presentable with khaki's.I use Happy Feet inserts and these shoe boots feel great. Fit is a little loose but if you insert some kind of support in them they won't bunch your foot up.Overall, really like these shoe boots. They're on the pricey end but, when it comes to Rockport's, you get what you pay for. Worth the investment and would definitely recommend.

A great boot until it wasnt
UPDATE 2: So they got back to me after a couple more emails and shipped me a new pair of boots at the end of Nov '22. It is August 2023 and the same issue has happened. They split at the sole in the same spot as the boots i bought before back in early 2022. I put these boots through normal everyday usage at work (9-5) on a concrete floor. I didn't hike or take them on harsh terrain. Besides the splitting soles, these boots handle my usage just fine- as you can likely tell from the photos.I inquired and sent them current photos of the new boots and an automated massage said the exchange program is no longer active. I wont be purchasing Rockport again if the manufacturer's standards/QC allows footwear that lasts maybe 9 months before degrading and if they will not exchange products for their sub par manufacturing then I'm done with them altogether. Go with Caterpillar or Columbia.UPDATE: it's the end of Oct '22 now and I have yet to receive a reply after they asked for photos regarding my "claim" in Sept. I really liked these boots and they might lose me altogether now if this is their quality standard and customer service standard.Got these boots back in April 2022 and used them as work boots. On my feet most of the time and I do my fair share of moving around and such. I wouldnt consider my job to be a shoe killing type of occupation. These boots had a bit of a break in period but once they were, they were fairly comfortable for me. Now in Sept 2022, I put them on this morning felt the ball of my foot touch the concrete while walking to the truck. There's a rip to the inside sole that goes the width of the right shoe. The left has a smaller crack on the same area. 5 months is all I can get out of this boot? Really? Rockport is a huge well known brand so I contacted them about this issue and I'm awaiting a reply.

Very comfortable out of box and as expected.
I put them on and said to my wife, wow they are so comfortable. First trial. I have 12 W and they have room so nice full sock will work at -35 C tonight. Felt great. Second pair of 12 W from Rockport and the other set is 2 years old and worn daily. Shoe version in brown. Same feeling. Shovelled a foot of drifted hard pack with a normal Canadian sock at -20 no problem. On Feb 26 Edmonton morning. Long driveway. High wind. Love them so far. All know is 2nd great start. Look great with jeans and a sweater. I also have weird foot that hurts in some shoes. Not a problem in these so no orthotic needed. Laces however, as others state, good for a few months at best. Upgrade soon with a good waxed set.
