John Frieda Colour Refreshing Gloss, Black, 6 Ounce

I have 90% gray hair. Gray hair doesn't suit my skin tone and I didn't want to commit to permanent hair color so I tried this. After two-in-a-row shampoos following up with this I now have a lovely strawberry blond.Other reviews said that it doesn't cover gray but it covered mine. Other reviews said that it stained hands and scalp but it didn't stain mine. other reviews said that it turns hair Bozo orange but it didn't make an unnatural color on my hair. I also use Frieda shampoo and conditioner so maybe that makes the difference.I washed hair three time now and the strawberry blond is fading very little. I guess that using it once or twice a month will be enough to keep my new flattering color.After using this my hair is soft and shiny and surprisingly has a bit more body than my gray hair did.

Keeps me bright and shiney, don't ever stop making this please! Red heads have a hard enough time finding products! I leave it on far longer than 3 mins usually wash my hair and get out of the shower and apply it in the mirror with gloves and out a face mask on then when thats dry I get back in. I have short hair and a bottle usually lasts me about 3 uses

I dye my hair every 8 weeks or so but with this product, the dye lasts for about 10 weeks. Downside would be, it leaves your hair feeling one of 2 ways, it is either very dry or leaves your hair feeling dirty and it stains your hands which comes off after a couple of wash. My sister had the same issue when using this. I figured out if you mix a quarter size amount with conditioner and let it sit in your hair in the shower for about 5 minutes before rinsing, that helps greatly.

As a pretend redhead, I've tried everything to keep my copper color from fading: color depositing shampoos, UV sprays, keeping hot water off my hair. Some things work better than others, with this being one of the best.I use this once a week, sometimes more. You just shampoo and condition regularly, then use plenty of this to soak your head. Wait a few minutes and rinse.The difference is subtle but awesome. Sometimes the red tones fade to a dull shade - this immediately gives it a red tint. L'Oreal Professionals used to make a marigold shampoo that was similar, but it was $30 and not as great. This is under $10 and lasts a long time. I don't know what I'll do if they ever discontinue it!Not worth docking a star over, but important to know: it stains. It stains hands, skin, and walls. I always put it on before I soap up and wash my face so that I scrub off any red spots. So, just keep that in mind!

This product is fabulous. I have used this for six months. It takes a tad longer from shampoo to setting my hair but Wow is it worth it! I use my regular conditioner as directed, rinse, apply this product for about 2 -3 minutes and rinse. I was amazed by the results on my hair. I have colored my hair for years & professionally hi-lighted. My hair felt so soft and definitely had a beautiful shine. I use it with each shampoo since my hair becomes dry from sun and wind. This purchase will be repeated many times over, it does what it says.

I used to buy this frequently when it was still carried at the local pharmacies and grocery stores. Since no one carries this within a 50mi radius, I went searching on amazon. I have dirty blonde hair with red tones (naturally) and I’ve found using this once a week helps with keeping the red tones in my hair. I’ve always loved this product and went searching for it specifically, but when delivered I noticed the box and bottle were covered in dirt and dust, along with the box looking like it had been crushed. There was no damage to the package it was delivered in so assuming the vendor just pulled a beat up one off the shelf. Product is a little pricy for the amount of product you receive in the bottle.

I use the Clear Gloss and love the way my hair looks afterwards, so I saw it available in Red and had to get a bottle hoping to get the same soft, shiny hair as with the clear gloss but also extend the time between coloring my hair. Previously, I was using a color depositing shampoo which worked but made my hair color look slightly artificial (I dye it just a shade darker than my natural color so most people don't even know I color it) But with this, I was pleasantly surprised that it delivered on all the promises it made. My hair retained the healthy, glossy look I've expected since using this line of product and it refreshed the Red in my hair tremendously and it was compeletely uniform to the rest of my hair. I had no problems with it being messy or staining and my thin, fine hair only needs a small amount at each use. I wish this was available for Subscribe and Save

John Frieda puts out excellent products & I am a faithful customer to this brand. In physical stores I could only find "color gloss" in shades for blondes & brunettes & one for "every color" (It's not!) However, this gloss gave my new hair coloring that extra kick that really shines wonderfully. I will stay true to this product unless they stop carrying it (redheads shouldn't be "bumped out" of John Frieda's products) I am happy!

Recomiendo no comprar, no me sirvió para nada. Intenté incluso dejar el producto hasta por 2 horas y no ayudó a conservar el color. Usar este producto y no usar nada es lo mismo.

Great product. Keeps the red in your hair

El producto sí funciona si lo usas tal cual vienen las instrucciones, el detalle es que si tienes el cabello largo es difícil aplicarlo uniformemente y eso conlleva a que se pinte diferente el cabello en varias zonas. Vale la pena usarlo más de 1 vez a la semana
