Millennium Edition 2000 Monopoly Game

This vintage game was a huge family hit this holiday season. The unique dice, the fun tokens, the cool material they used to make the money - there's enough classic board present for grandparents to feel comfortable and enough novelty for younger kids to enjoy as well. This isn't just a nostalgic favorite, it stands on its own. The tin makes it sturdy enough to take everywhere. This is the same game Boomers learned before the internet existed - just prettied up a bit.* I'm editing this after reading some other comments. It seems the company has changed some items in newer versions of the game. I want to make it clear I bought it USED, well used. A few range marks and all. I wanted those signs of use. I'm not a collector. The whole family, including kids, used this game for many MANY hours this past holiday season and none of the complaints I've read happened. I think buying vintage might be better than buying "new," the older models might have come off the assembly line in better shape.

Everything was in the package as is to be. The box it was in got damaged and the metal tin was dented. The game and all inside was fine.

The plastic money is great. I prefer this set over all the others. I like the way the hotels and houses stack.

I purchased this game when it first came out. My children got into my stash of old board games, all of which are older than them and lost many of my game pieces. I ordered this edition to replace the one I had. All the pieces are the same but this version does not come with the collectible tin box. Lucky for me I retained the one from my other game. If you are expecting the tin box that is listed in the description, you will be disappointed. Still worth the investment however if you like out of production board games.

I bought an used one. Well maintained by the seller. Very nice.

I'm a huge Monopoly fan, and was excited to purchase this edition (which I purchased off the shelf in 2000). I liked the upgrades to the board and property and tokens, but the money is a DISASTER! After trying to play it ONE time, we broke out an old edition of Monopoly and took the money to use with the Millennium Edition...game play was impossible otherwise. If you're looking for a special edition of Monopoly, look elsewhere.

This arrived today and I was going to give it to my brother for his birthday. The package was broken, the board and the inside of the tin were COVERED I'm crushed cookies. It is so beat up and used when it said it was a new product. Don't purchase this.
